I think this pool thing is actually starting to change my opinion about Charley, I mean I actually for a split second got to see a real genuine smile, and a real nice side to Charley that I felt bad for.

I’m scared now, because I didn’t like her from the start, and as the show went on I disliked her even more, but now, my mind is changing.

Could I be becoming a Charley fan? :conf:

He probably isn't even gay, he uses it as an excuse to push women about and seem innocent in my opinion :S

How does being gay give someone an excuse to push women? I'm gay and still not allowed to push women, lol. Not that I want to.

It was funny. I haven't laughed so hard in ages.

I thought it was one of the great Big Brother incidents, and everyone involved has gone up further in my estimation.

It started when Nicky and Liam were sat on the bench talking with Brian and Charley, whilst Charley took time out to dance and sing and behave generally flirtatiously infront of the boys. This inspired Nicky to go and put on some of her best clothes so that Charley didn't 'out-do' her in winning the attentions of Liam, this is linking back to the night Charley offended Nicky by dismissing her as having "no game". Nicky proved she does have game when she came out dressed up with a bit of make-up on, and very sportingly, Charley recognised the challenge and stormed off to try and find her best out-fit, not to be 'out-done' by the once moody Nicky. The scene in the bedroom was great when Charley was playfully ranting about how she is experienced in the art of impressing men with her clothes, and it showed that she wasn't feeling any hostility towards her housemates, even if they harboured underlying hostility towards her for her past behaviour.

When Charley emerged from the house in her new out-fit it was clear the whole house were having fun throughout the whole incident and Charley knew she was slightly the centre of ridicule, but that's something she's willing to live with when it also comes with being the centre of attention. The housemates saw the fun side, particularly the twins who sided with Charley and her love for the 'fashion show' by joining her in the garden dressed in their new outfits and dancing with her on the decking. A good thing about this all was the fact that the 3 girls (Charley, Amanda and Sam) took the focus away from the fact that Nicky got a tiny bit desperate to win her man's attention (with the outfit change), with their little show, so that Nicky could sink into the background with Liam.

The ending to the incident was a shocker. I think it was a heat of the moment thing where Charley was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and prankster Seany took the opportunity to push her in the pool, fully clothed. Some have said it was wrong of him to do that, some (disturbingly) relish in Charley's misfortune, but overall the incident was good natured and one based on the fact that these people are beginning to get to know each other and are beginning to get comfortable with each other. Charley knows, by now, there is no malice in Seany's pranks, and Seany knows, by now, that Charley has more than earned a prank or two to be played on her, so the result ended in a great scene for our entertainment where everybody took it light heartedly and laughed it off.

Charley, Nicky, Liam, Brian, Seany, Sam, Amanda and anyone else involved, thanks for a great episode.

Well, he probably thinks that it makes him more of a innocent harmless man; more of a girl (not stereotyping), and gives him power to do that. I dunno, that's my take on it anyway :S

I agree, I think what made it worse was that she was all dressed up, and was in something she obviously felt great about, and for the first time she actually seemed genuinely happy.

Then he went and just ruined it for no reason.
Bad things happen to Charley = Funny

It was funny and probably the only decent thing Seany has done in the house.

GlitterEyes 22-06-2007 04:31 PM

I don't understand the options but I think Seany was out of order doing that not only was it potentially dangerous it showed a violent side to him rather than just the joker.

Ruth*Star 22-06-2007 04:35 PM

LMAO it was hilarious, but i think it was a little cruel they way he did it.

Charley picks unecessary fights and, personally, I think some of the HM's are a bit scared of her. SHe got what she deserved.
