It is. That's why muslim people can't be brought into it because a large majority of them in France (and worldwide) are so shocked by it.
But some people (aka far right people) like to say all muslims are like that, when really they are not.
There's indeed a difference between being offended by a cartoon, and going out there to kill people for it and/or because they believe the Sharia law should be applicable everywhere.

This is a bit of a myth. The world is full of Muslim leaders, just as the world is full of christian leaders. The Muslim council of Britain came out today strongly against these attacks, and in defence of the innocents.
