I hope trump continues in the job, especially as hes taken 4.2 million people out of poverty and creates all time record jobs. Hes a flawed character but the media bias against him has been an utter disgrace and created the division more than anyone else.

Republicans will accept democracy.

Trump supporters are engaging in voter intimidation and suppression across the US, I worry that Trump literally will steal the election.

Hopefully if Biden gets in he will have the ball to crack down on White Supremacy groups.

Biden probably won't do anything dramatic with his presidency if he wins, especially since he's running on a unification, bipartisan platform. He'll probably right the boat which is good enough, but sadly, unless the Senate changes dramatically, he likely won't have the power to make some sweeping changes that need to be made.

The best we can hope for atm, is that he would put things back on track.

the dems have a pretty good chance to take control of the senate. They need to net gain 3 or 4 seats depending on who becomes president.

They need a president that steadies the ship, protects the population from covid both health wise and economically, and returns normality to foreign relations. Even that is quite a bit to do

Even if Biden wins, Trump has pavlov'd his supporters into thinking covid is a hoax, or it's the flu, and masks are a conspiracy. It needs republicans to try and speak some truth, but unfortunately they'll be more likely to keep inflaming that rage.

I guess we have to prepare ourselves to wake up tomorrow morning and see that the USA are in another civil war after Trump called the Proud Boys and other fascists to burn the house down because he lost the election.

I’ve been saying this for a few days, I really think a Civil War could be on the cards depending on the state of Trump’s potential loss.

It's really hard to say, I think it'll be a close one! Either way, I bet Biden will win the popular vote. I can't see either getting a landslide as they're both crap, the best case scenario for Trump would be if he just about slips through with the electoral college.

I don't really care either way but I think choosing someone like bloody Biden means the Dems deserve to lose :joker: If they picked Bernie then Trump would be really in danger.

Heavy civil unrest, sure. Civil war in any meaningful form can't really occur in the US with a democrat win, because the large cities are heavily democrat, the military won't split, and it's not the 1800's - civilian firepower is a joke compared to US military equipment. It's not rifle-on-rifle in a field, it's a Walmart AR15 vs a drone that can kill you from kilometers in the air without you even knowing it was there.

Angry people rioting in the streets is not civil war.

Tbh there'll probably be endless riots if Trump wins too, the USA is in a bit of a rock and hard place situation.

Bernie is the better politician with the better progressive policies, but he wouldn’t never have won the election, because unlike with Biden the socialist scare tactics would actually stick to him and alienate a large proportion of the independent vote away from him, a Bernie lead America would be an absolute dream, but it was never a realistic scenario
