I think it’s been mentioned before that Emmerdale producers have become really hesitant about letting their current stars go and do reality shows. I’m pretty sure Jacob only got the DOI gig because he’s just come out of a huge storyline and probably won’t get much else in the coming years, especially when more current actors like Alex Lincoln (Jamie) tried out.
