No because... there's no point. Majority of people that covid affects are either old, obese or those with underlying health conditions.

But you can catch it and pass it to the immunosuppressed that can't have the vaccine.

And there is nothing to say that a healthy person can't be seriously affected by this albeit rare, or end up with 'long covid' that affects all age groups.

Well the virus itself will begin to fade out eventually anyway when the majority of people have been vaccinated and others are not affected by it, so that's probably a minor/non-issue.

Of course it can happen but I'm not personally bothered or worried about it.

Sounds a tad blasé. ..but it's honest

Nicky91 16-01-2021 07:13 AM

I hope you plan on holidaying in UK because i think you'll have difficulty overseas with no reason for not being vaccinated.

I can't wait to get mine asap please.

Yes good point, even if you don’t think you will suffer with the virus or pass it on, if you plan to travel that will entail covid testing 72 hours before you go and return for some time into the future

I am thankful to the true volunteers who put themselves forward for trials

I would get the oxford one. The pfizer one..seems pointless as it appears to not even stop infection/spreading?

I also figure natural immunity will sort me til I am offered, if I ever get offered, given I had it already (and it WAS luckily just like flu, for 2 day then fine, though have 'long covid' apparently as still coughing sometimes..most of the house tested positive and showed not even a cough, thats not me saying covid IS flu though)

Am likely last on the list for the vaccine anyway, I figure they will decide soon it will only be the vulnerable who get it, like the flu one. Also I think it might turn into an annual thing, that just goes along with the flu vaccine. Assuming covid acts like other coronaviruses, which theres not much reason to believe it won't..

 That's what we thought at the beginning , but you can still easily pass it on.

And fit healthy people have still been really poorly with Covid .

You can still get severe effects any age.

I say, have you ever had a mystery meat kebab? Dropped an E? Vaped/ smoked?

There's not one person who hasn't at some point put a substance in their body that they weren't sure how they would react to.
None of those who have said they would refuse were the 'my body is a temple' types either, far far from it

You're right. All of Harold Shipman's victims trusted a doctor to inject things into their body.

Alf 16-01-2021 04:36 PM

Has anyone on TiBB had it yet? Or have a close family member who has had it?

Smithy 16-01-2021 04:40 PM

I’m due to have it soon, not sure on the date yet though

Liam- 16-01-2021 04:41 PM

Of course

Jessica. 16-01-2021 10:40 PM

Without a shadow of a doubt.

Lee. 17-01-2021 12:21 AM

Yes, I’ll definitely have it when offered.

Why you not sure about having it then?

It wasn't the substance that killed them...it was the psychopath injecting them.

How you have linked a vaccine to a mass murderer I don't know. Unless you're saying don't trust doctors because one killed some people once?

A colleague of mine had it with mild symptoms but his mum caught it and was on a ventilator. A neighbour had it and he was fine but his daughter was very poorly.
