As i understand it, in the netherlands the message is protect others by getting the vaccine, nothing about protecting yourself, which is a bit ... dutch

herd immunity is what we believe in

yeah tbh it wasn't bad at all, the tiredness was only for a day or two and my arm was sore for a few days, should really have had the jab in my left arm which I will do for second jab!

I'm not worried that it'll kill me but the stats in the news (Pfizer 93% effective and Astra like 66%) made me a bit jealous :hmph:.

they are both 90% effective from uk data ... they think mainly from the longer interval between jabs

also Pfizer is not made from a chimp virus unlike Astra or Janssen (J&J)

yes I have seen various stats on it as well , if AZ was not effective given it has been to the over 40s? we would have seen an uptick in that cohort of hospital admissions

no it is the more ''easily being more triggered than before'' virus

There's no way I'd ever get it. The amount of problems people are experiencing from it are shocking. There are people going blind, having heart attacks, strokes, getting blood clots and dying from it...

do you have percentages for that? like 60 million jabs given if the above were true people would be dropping like flies , people die of things all the time  just because they got a vaccine doesn't mean the heart attack they were going to have anyway would be prevented

I had a page with numbers not percentages somewhere, I'll try and find it again but this guy has been retweeting a bunch of people's cases: https://twitter.com/Danny1098765

Ofc people die from everything, but as a young healthy person where there is more of a risk of dying from the vaccine than covid itself (or getting worse side effects), it would be dumb to get it imo.

There was also a statement I recall reading about how more people have died from the covid vaccine than any other vaccines all put together in the last 15 years.

And also yes while things can randomly happen, it's not just a coincidence that it's just days, weeks or months after the vaccine in the majority of these cases when there are so many.

I’ve now had my first, and barely had any side effects, but looking forward to my second, nice to be doing my bit :)

That's just not true. Social media driven conspiracy theories more like

Sadly our lovely daughter ( pregnant) has contracted Covid19 for the SECOND time and the track and trace said they’d never come across anyone who’s had it twice !

I’m sure I’ve heard of quite a few getting it twice ??

It’s more than likely the Indian variant as it’s rife at the school she works at .

probably not as the vaccine wasn't recommended for pregnant women, though that might have changed now
