It's not his job now so what's the excuse this time?

She got him fired from his job...by personally contacting his executive producer, that's his excuse, and a pretty damn good one too, because it was a disgrace.....and its no laughing matter that that can happen these days for nothing other than saying you don't believe someone who you, well - simply don't believe.

Imagine not being entitled to an opinion any more, depending on who you are, that someone else like Markle is entitled to free speech (even though there is obviously lies in there) but your entitlement to that same free speech gets you fired and death threats made against your loved ones. That is what this ‘cancel culture’ has come to. When Morgan was calling out Trump for his fake news (lies) they same people loved it. Or Boris for his failings. Fairness and consistency has given way to dishonesty and gross hypocrisy all round in some quarters.

Or he was fired because what he said was vile and disgusting? it wasn't about all of her "lies" it was about the mental health. You may be ignorant about mental health but those who complained are not. ITV has a advert about speaking up about mental health and a ITV employee has said some damaging things about it (this is his second time now) ITV can't speak about mental health and then pay someone who made awful and ignorant comments.

he got himself sacked for acting completely irresponsible on live TV, Meghan just helped :hee:

He got himself fired for disgusting comments on mental health that aired live and on a broadcaster who are championing mental health awareness. But yes, blame Meghan :umm2:

Morgan made in clear he was referring to her being refused help from the Royals, which is frankly not in the least believable, not that he disbelieved she suffered mental health problems....why is that overlooked?
Is her own husband Harry vile and disgusting for being ashamed to ask for help for her and ignoring her problems even though he had many resources at his disposal? I haven't heard anyone say so. Has he been 'cancelled' yet?

Still really trying to pretend this didn't happen eh

"I mean, I knew her for about a year and a half... got on really well with her or whatever and then BANG! She met someone more important... immediately ghosted... I never heard from her again... the old slippery-slope ladder had gone up and she had climbed her way out of my orbit. So my experience WASN'T GREAT", he spits, "I've got to be honest with you".

Sad, sad, bitter chap. It's a shame really.

I know that happened, but what has it got to do with him being cancelled for having the rapidly disappearing privilege of free speech (not hate speech, after all'), which is okay for some to have and spout lies with (Markle) but not others, depending on who you are?

LukeB 07-04-2021 04:50 PM

freedom of speech does not meen freedom of consequences

it's really hypocrtical to excuse someones vile comments and behaviour and say freedom of speech and let them do whatever but then slam Meghan for speaking up, where's her freedom of speech? you're doing the exact same thing as 'cancel' culture'

:joker:

He got himself fired from his job because he just couldn't control his hatred and took it too far and funny enough you mentioned in the other post about people not being able to have an opinion when the very reason he stormed off set like a petulant child was due to someone else actually having an opinion and questioning his obsessive tirades against Meghan

What vile comments and behaviour? Examples?
What about Harry?

Beso 07-04-2021 04:58 PM

Meghan's comments are just as vile as her actions are..and piers Morgan ain't much better.

No, Meghan got him fired - personally. He was doing what he is paid to do and get the ratings he brought in. If you ever read his newspaper columns he is like that with many celebs, OTT and forceful with his opinions, not just Markle. In fact he is sometimes quite easy on her in his columns.

Being a newspaper columnist doesn't excuse obsessive vendettas nor was he being paid to constantly express pure vile hate filled OTT rants about her on a morning TV show.

He couldn't handle the brush off and has been fixated with hatred towards her ever since its actually really embarassing on his part and imo bordering into unhealthy territory, if it was a normal member of the public acting the same towards someone they woulda been slapped with an interdict by now :/

His behaviour is just not normal.

He did not that is incorrect information

What pure vile hate though? Examples? Voicing valid opinions of her from many thousands of miles away is hardly interdict worthy. You should listen to some utube Australian news channels and what some of their anchors have to say about her, Piers is no worse.
He says what the majority of the public think about her, in an admittedly OTT way. Whether his behaviour is normal or abnormal is his problem, many agree with him anyway, because we think he's right in his estimations of her.

Yup...it’s ok for Meghan to make vile accusations but it’s not Ok for Piers Morgan. Typical hypocrisy from the Meghan supporters..

If the actual royals are calling him to say thanks

you know what he is saying is true

no two ways about it

that woman is a stranger to the truth and she is using mental health as a weapon to further her career

astonishing

He didn't get "cancelled" he got fired. Using your job/platform to take out your personal vendetta against someone you "knew and were friends with for a year and a half before they ghosted you" is unprofessional, and when you behave unprofessionally, you risk getting fired. I'm afraid that's the harsh realities of the world, jet. If he didn't want to lose his job he shouldn't have behaved unprofessionally?

AnnieK 07-04-2021 05:44 PM

Are the actual royals actually ringing him though?

:joker: can you even logically explain this statement? Why would "Royals saying thanks" make it more likely to be true?

I'd eat the hats of everyone here if an actual Royal has called Piers Morgan :hehe:. Maybe a tertiary one but the less said about most of them the better.

Rubbishing someone's admittance of suicidal thoughts and mental health struggles on a massive platform such as morning tv is completely vile and goes way beyond having 'a valid opinion' especially with how much stigma can still be attached to speaking about things like that.

And no he isn't speaking for the majority of the public at all, as well as the 57,000 complaints his rant about Meghans mental health got all you have to do is read through some article comments elsewhere online lately and you will see there's as much people completely disagree with him as well as the people that have done a complete uturn due to his ongoing obsessive behaviour.

Then he has behaved 'unprofessionally' hundreds of times, because he gets het up about many people and things, very very often. Have you ever watched the show? Strange that its only when Markle gets on the phone that he's fired. Or should I say 'cancelled'. She attempted to get the Royals cancelled too, remember, with her lies. :hee:
She's trouble with a capital T.

I thought you said you were opting out? Hmmm....

Exactly

We are supposed to take him at his word because he doesn't want to name anyone yet he was the one saying Meghan should name the Royal Racist :joker:
