bit too warm for my liking to be working in the garden now

but everything is growing nicely now, bit later than normal of course but nice to see

only my christmas tree which we had put in the ground, has been there for more than 10 years now at least, it is dying we see, a shame, but we are gonna put it out of its misery, a sacrifice to protect our conifers cuz maybe it still takes away water and compost from conifers and anything what is around it

also i saw a pidgeon crapping right in front of me this morning, also cannot believe they aren't shy but very tame nowadays :laugh2: you can clap or make noise as much as you want but they aren't going away that easily

iv just watered all my containers

too hot for gardening :(

wanted to remove a dead plum tree but that is too much work in this heat so we'll do that some other day it isn't as hot anymore

No watering required today...it's raining here

we've removed our cherry tree, been tidying up left space of the garden, everything was looking a bit too close at each other, not good for any other plants, you have to make choices when gardening, that is the fun thing about gardening, it never stays the same for a long time

been quite busy in the garden today, very stressful renewing and making it winter ready, removing some old plants and putting in some new plants which remain green in winters

having been working in our garden again a lot, more soil, less pebbles (we made a nice little ''mountain'' like thing in the back of our garden, for some sempervivums, and not to throw anything away but re-using pebbles for something else)

i got a new plant, Agapanthus Africanus, seems really lovely, also can survive winters, but am mainly liking it for the shape of its many flowers, and a bee-friendly plant too, also a must for me, something what is good for the bees, butterflies

also going for the edible flower seeds too same as last year but a little different, instead of poppies, going for nasturtiums which look similar, and also hollyhocks which are amazing for some height in your garden

:)

as for my vegetable garden

lettuce, since that is soooo easy to grow

chard, because of variety in colours they come in, red/orange/yellow

carrots, also fairly easy to grow

in terms of fruit trees we got quite a lot of plums, a new Morell cherry, elstar apple

we got a quite wet area at our seating area, the soil behind our bench, so we decided to go for cobbler plants (Bergenia) since they grow well in moist soil too

in terms of rainfall, we cannot complain this year, sooo much rain and snow what turned into water automatically too for nature over here

i'm gonna laugh if there is complaints over droughts this summer tbh
