…I liked the episode, I liked it more than the previous one…I hadn’t known anything about Scarlet, I don’t follow social media or the Queens on social media etc…so that was a complete surprise …but obviously very uncomfortable…I guess that we can only assume and hope that she was very sincere and has given much thought to it since…what she did may not have been poor judgement but ‘being outed publicly’ in this way with these things is so harsh as well and just not good…it brings nothing but ‘hate’ and compounds, I feel…reflection is very difficult when there is such attacking against and social media is the most grim with things like this…anyways…

…I haven’t quite got into it or the queens in the way that I have with other series, GoldHeart….but that could also be that I’m watching quite a few different things atm and trying to keep up…I just haven’t bonded so quickly with favourites so that’s always harder…?…all in all it’s not one of my favourite series but there have been fun moments, though…

This season is crap but I think the three New Zealand queens might be the three best of the series? I thought Art was great at first and was delighted to see her back but she’s been really underwhelming since her return.

Electra for the win. She has been judge so unfairly thus far so I’m sure they will kick her off soon.I hope she makes it to the end though and the viewers love will make the producer air her win. We need a kiwi to win. Not any of the nasty Australians

Scarlets yellow teeth bother me. Every episode.

Ru's look last episode was insane! Also, is it me or Ru has not looked this good in such a long time? All of her looks and makeup this season have been so georgous and even beyond. Raven and Ru's stylist did wonders.

Back to the episode, I wanted Scarlet to go but realistically she wasn't going anywhere. I have a feeling Kita will win this whole thing with Scarlet and Karen as her runners-up.

Also, I don't usually enjoy makeover episodes but seeing rugby mates getting in drag was enjoyable :joker:
It's the closest idea I can get of myself in drag. FYI I would look like the one paired with Scarlet...and I would have kept my beard :laugh:

I tend to enjoy the makeover and design challenges the most so this one was one of the better episodes of the season for me. The Rugby team were enjoyable, most of the looks were good and it was mostly a good time. I'm sad Maxi went although it's understandable since she was the worst of the bunch of her lipsync this time around wasn't that strong but it's **** that she went home in favour of the racist. The racist's continued presence is just another thing that's ruining the show.

Ru and Michelle's judging also continues to be suspect but thankfully Rhys is pretty great. I'm glad the season is probably ending soon.

Also, the one thing I'll say for this season is that I've liked the lack of scripted acting challenges which, all too often is a frequent source of frustration with others seasons. I'm ready for the end of this season though.

She owes a lot to Sonique for that one, it was basically a reinterpretation of her Christmas special look.

caught up earlier with the past two episodes and found the discussion of blackface very confusing and such a weird way to handle it on TV... as if they'd literally just been handed a "breaking news" story of a picture of her performance(s). I don't know the details of what Scarlet did and still don't, so thought it an odd topic to bring up because it effectively framed her in a position of "I'm apologising for something but you won't know what :(".

sad about Maxi going. happy about ETC going. future of drag... maybe... but also a bit of a shallow ****.

At this point I only really like Art and Kita. Karen is massively underwhelming, Elektra is still... annoying me even with a win under her belt (I've enjoyed her stepping it up, but there's just such an air of "playing the victim" about her), and Scarlet is awful.

Yes and I loved it! Sonique had the best look on the Christmas special along with Mayhem. Gorgeous! :love:

I'll echo the Ru runway: that sheepskin look was excellent and the best she's looked in years (there was something different about her eye makeup, and her hair having that windswept look was a refreshing change too).

yeah the make up was on point, raven must of been on crack when doing her make up this episode.

on the topic of raven, she's back again in the next episode with all of her appearances on the show in the last few years i hope they aren't shaping her up to replace ru.. as much as i like raven. there's far better contenders in bob being the best, and even bianca

Bianca and Bob is the duo we need and deserve to replace Ru when she retires one day (probably never, she doesn't age). Or I suppose it would be the winner of the All Winners season at some point? idk.

I'd rather it was just Bob tbh... Bianca's shtick gets tired very quickly and she doesn't really strike me as someone with an artistic eye, who'd appreciate fashion or anything other than comedy from the queens.

If it were to be a duo I'd be more than happy with Bob and Peppermint... Pepper because she has that "legend" status, is trans and more likely to broaden the reputation that the show's had for discriminating against the trans queens in the past, and because her chemistry with Bob is excellent... but also because she's just effortlessly congenial, supportive and someone who'd be a fantastic mentor figure.

To me, Bianca is Bianca and it never gets old. It works every time and listening to her podcast makes me love her even more. She's an oldie, she has done a lot of stuff in her career and I like her work ethic.
I think having her as a host would also bring back the "realness" of what Drag Race used to be, meaning that it was raw, unpolished, more real like it was before S7.
She doesn't care about cancel culture, she has been doing this for so long and knows so much stuff. And she's actually a kind, supportive and generous person.
And her and Bob together are always freaking hilarious. That podcast with Bob, Monet and her was insane for example.

I was thinking of Alaska too because that's another well-rounded winner and a striking personality. Or Bebe to come last minute and get the job as she was the first original crowned winner? :joker:

Peppermint was known about before Drag Race, lol. My point still stands: Bianca bores me.

She sure was and I'm not saying she wasn't :wink: It's a good choice actually and I like the fact that people know her from some other work other than being a DR queen which is a hard thing to achieve when you have been a contestant on a popular TV show.

And to be fair, Bianca would probably be a better Snatch Game host than the main host :shrug:

Ru not being impressed by her queens during the chat in the werk room or during the talent show sent me :skull: You can tell she doesn't like a lot of them.

The talent show was meh. Karen being the full contrary of Sherry Pie and doing a 2.5 seconds routine. Art doing whatever it was. Kita doing ruveals after ruveals in the most lackluster way possible. Elektra dance routine was fine but that heinous WIG! And Scarlet was alright.

However, the runway looks this episodes were all excellent! Obviousy the best of the season so far and I don't remember the last time in RPDR history we've had a such a strong collective runway. Not one look was bad or even average. The last time was probably the top 3 from AS5? but before that I don't remember. So good, all the looks were well executed.

Sad to see Elektra go. Obviously she wasn't the full package or even a favorite to win but the darkhorse story got me.
I think Kita will probably win. Art did stuff for Wow before so she obviously was a favorite but her performances were at average. I don't see Karen winning and Ru probably doesn't want the controversy of Scarlet winning. But you never know with Ru...

Bob and Peppermint would make excellent hosts.

This season has stunk of rigamorris from the get go but I think this week took the biscuit for me. Karen and Art should’ve undoubtedly been the bottom two, neither presented a talent. They seemed to skate through because their looks for the talent show were better than Kita’s (when the whole point is quick change so it’s magic) and Elektra’s. Michelle’s critique about no heels was ridiculous.

Kita MUST be crowned next week, any other option would be hideous and a disservice to fans.

True, but I’m hoping after the backlash to Lawrence’s win and the way Kita is absolutely steamrolling the other three on social media will HOPEFULLY make her see sense.

I could potentially see any of the four winning though tbh, I wouldn’t be shocked. Scarlet would be VERY questionable but I think she would be Ru’s pick if she wasn’t scared of fan backlash. Which shows again that she’s quite a ****ty person.

So either a racist wins, a loser wins or a boring old kiwi wins. Give me the kiwi any day please.
