This round will be open until Monday, 19 April (at roughly the same time as this post, probably)

Niamh. 16-04-2021 11:08 AM

That was better than I was expecting  I was torn between New Zealand and Germany but I thought being in Europe Angela would have taken it too Shaun

Cherie 16-04-2021 11:11 AM

Tibb going for the Cons instead of Labour

sell out

Shaun 16-04-2021 11:12 AM

I honestly voted Labour because I thought it would be easier to type  I can see why the Tories won since they're in power but I was banking on us being a little lazy

I also wrote these questions before Prince Philip died so I assumed the answer to #1 would be York (that was my gut reaction at the time of writing, but I did change to Edinburgh when I opened the round bc... breaking news... etc), so I guess the news definitely affected things subliminally.

Alf 16-04-2021 11:34 AM

Florence Nightingale and Buddy Holly were robbed.

Fleming, my arse! And Aaliyah? Who? I'll have to Google her.

Shaun 16-04-2021 11:36 AM

tbf Florence didn't invent any cures that I'm aware of :hmph: (then again neither did Marie Curie) she just revolutionised the standard of nursing.

Yeah i was going to choose Marie Curie but she didn't find a cure for anything, she did invent or discover Radium that was later used for treating cancer but she didn't discover that use for it. I went with Edward Jenner because he invented Vaccines which i thought (wrongly) would be topical right now

Round 3 had some really tough choices to make :worry:

At time of writing, the three unanimous answers were 3, 8 and 13 - JFK, Churchill and Turkey. But that ended up... not happening :worry:
