No £10 |
All this was done because of the black lives matter movement.
£186 large ones in costs to us, the british tax payer. All because some American thug got knelt on for 2 long by a copper exerting his authority over the filming bystanders. At the begining the residents were all for it, but now after finding out the cost many of them on that street have put up their own signs with the old street name on them and bolted them to their houses in protest. Very fickle, imo. |

This rather far fetched story is, of course, completely false. Despite the photo being usually accompanied with "Google it, it's absolutely true", those who do take a few seconds to Google it immediately find that it is not. There is no town in Hertfordshire called Tillet, nor any village called Erbum. The photo is of a pub with that name, in a village called Sarratt, but the rest is made up.

What is wrong with Black Boys? What do these people find offensive about Black Boys? Why don't these people want Black Boys represented in a street name?
I think they are the racists and just project their racism onto others as a way to erase Black representation. |

Days after a new road sign was defaced in north London, a huge sign featuring its original name was screwed to the wall behind. Black Boy Lane in Tottenham was renamed La Rose Lane by Haringey Council last week, citing concerns about its racial connotations. Just 24 hours later, black paint was splashed over the new sign and, days later, the poster appeared. It is not known who put it up and the council has since removed it. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-64456137 |
The Council Will have to unscrew it
and take it away |
