This is what Labour is really pushing for from the newly elected 1922 committee to be elected tomorrow. I think you'll find they CAN find the way IF they really want to. They can and do have the greatest influence. There are Conservative MPs who will be demanding him gone sooner rather than later. If the 1922 committee don't alter by not holding a members vote for the new leader. They'll need to look at all and other possible option. |
"you'll find it could be possible the 1922 committee could find the way to ensure this disgraced PM goes near immediately."
Joey that would be great Raab the Deputy is not in the Race and could move right in. |

Yes, I agree. That's what Labour is hoping to pressure the committee to set out to do. Raab as Deputy PM is already in place to act in the caretaking role. It should have been explored on the day all was changing. |
the tories could just resign from Boris's cabinet again on mass, so that's one option, but i cant imagine a situation where they would give the power to a committee to decide who could and couldnt run the country

Keir Starmer Backs Snap General Election
I didn’t think this is a unique situation ..
Isn’t it normal for the PM to stay in situ for about 3 months after resignation to give the party time to choose a replacement ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

It's ludicrous he's left in place. It's a powerful committee which acts on the will of the backbenchers. It's even more ludicrous to have current, possibly even temporary Cabinet Ministers. Now running to be leader and some setting out to tear up the policies of Johnson now. It seems farcical and ridiculous. This is NOT a normal dismissing of a leader. It's that this leader Johnson has thrown out endless deceit and lies to parliament, his Ministers, his MPs and even worse to the whole of the UK. He should have been gone over this weekend if the Cons hoped to get some decency and credibility back. This is no way a normal end to a PM's premiership due to his absolutely disgraceful behaviour. |

What has he actually done that is so disgraceful , specifically ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

With full respect if you can't see that. It's pointless me explaining it. I'll try a bit though. His Cabinet resigned because of him sending them out to the media after deceiving them. He's broken his own laws he dictated to and inflicted on the whole Country. Just 2 for starters. His backbenchers were demanding a new vote of no confidence in him. Which was clearly going to be a massive negative to him. The facts now really speak for themselves to I'd say most people actually. |
Keir Starmer Backs Snap General Election

As I understand things , most of his detractors were remainers ... the rest presumably just followed to save face and save their own skins - not wanting to be seen to be loyal to Boris ... Then when they were asked afterwards who they would like to be PM not a single one of them had the courage to put a name forward as they were all keeping their cards close to their chests ( self preservation) .. So what specifically do you find so abhorrent about Boris .. that wouldn’t apply to just about every politician you care to name .... I saw a photo of Boris having a sandwich in a huge garden but there’s a video of Starmer knocking back a beer in a tiny room full of people .. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

His own law too. Johnson relaxed the covid rules in April/May 2021 in order to allow campaigning work in the Council, mayoral and Hartlepool by election/s too. Johnson broke his laws in 2020 during the intense and rigid rules HE laid down for everyone in the Country. He's a serial political deceiver, liar and a lawbreaker too. If I was to list all the things I consider bad about Johnson. I'd be making my.longest ever post on tibb. So I'll pass on that. I appreciate you like and support him. I'll never understand why, just as it seems you don't understand those who don't like or don't support him. I've NEVER liked him and wouldn't ever have trusted him with power. My hand is up that I'm biased against him. I think for his deceit and lies and lawbreaking, for me he is the worst ever PM the UK has had. However I appreciate of course you see him differently and that of course is fine for you. |
Everyone knew exactly what they were getting with Boris, but they still voted him leader and then huge swathes of brexit supporters gave him a massive majority. All this crap about Javid and Sunak seeing the light is nonsense
The thing is, Boris wont go quietly into the night. He will interfere as much as he can and he never actually said he was resigning, so I don't think this is over yet at all |

Which is why it should have been he was ...'made in sorts'... to go right away. You have raised a possible strong point there. |

No worries .. I certainly wouldn’t want to fall out over a bladdy politician !! :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

A tiny part of me wonders what WOULD happen if hundreds of thousands of Boris supporters actually did go down to London on masse to protest at the way he’s been ousted .. there has been talk about this . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
I mean, if those people want to make fools of themselves by protesting the ‘ousting’ of a man who knowingly promoted an admitted sex pest through the ranks of the party, then let them knock themselves out if that’s the hill they want to die on

They interviewed a group of them the other night on Sky - they all looked well over 50 and were delighted that Boris delivered Brexit and feel that there voice / vote / opinion is being discounted One guy actually said something like .. “ 13 million of us voted for Boris .. how dare they just force him out of office ! “ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
