Bless you. I’ve been up pretty much all night myself.

Thanks Sam. I usually feel really good when I've not had a lot of sleep...it hits me later on. I'm off out this morning and early afternoon. X

There couldn’t be a worse time for something like that to happen. Bless them.

How’s everyone bearing up/coping with it at the moment?

They’re handing out bottles of water but not good. There’s not a drop coming from taps. Schools are closed as are most shops.

They had apparently fixed the problem last night and we’re refilling the system but nothing has happened this morning. Another issue has come up which means it’s delayed again. Could be up to four days.

Coping okay.
I'm not a heat person I prefer temperatures of more like 18/19 degrees max.

MTVN 13-07-2022 08:54 AM

Slept a lot better last night than the previous one actually. Sometimes problems can be a bit self-fulfilling I think, you expect to sleep badly and so you do

Wait until winter, then you'll see deaths from the weather. Make the most of the Sun while it's here.

Cherie 13-07-2022 09:01 AM

slept like a log  if your bedroom faces the sun, keep those curtains closed all day, it really helps

Well it certainly felt tropical at 1am this morning when i walked across the street to feed the foxes (occasionally i have scraps of food, and instead of it going to waste it goes to the foxes). I walked barefoot along the pavement, which was warm to stand on, and then communal grassy area which was also warm, and as brown as i've ever seen it.

I sleep in my boxers, on the settee on hot nights with the windows wide open. There was this very gentle breeze in the end, was actually quite pleasant.

Crimson Dynamo 13-07-2022 09:10 AM

sunday to weds will see the hottest weather

Swan 13-07-2022 09:23 AM

Say's it'll be 29 here Sunday, Monday 33 and Tuesday 36. Ugh.

Vanessa 13-07-2022 09:29 AM

Not too bad today. But it's bound to get hotter later on.

Alf 13-07-2022 09:30 AM

Don't forget to look after the birds.
