Thankfully it was a mistake by an older, experienced diver not a young one

4x100m freestyle relay tonight

chances for TeamGB in both the men's and the women's

400m freestyle women might also be nice to possibly witness another win for Ledecky or Titmus stealing that title from her

Nicky91 27-07-2024 01:17 PM

@Zizu

couple of chinese represent other countries too

Ni, represents Luxembourg, at the age of 61 now (whom was also present at the Tokyo Olympics)

and Zeng, represents Chile, at the age of 58 now

they were once teammates and roommates

in the table tennis event

It's all over for us all if Trump doesn't win.

That includes you Commies.

No Negativity In This Thread Please

there really is a reason why i try to avoid this forum, but i like sharing my opinion too much :(

last night has been a fantastic first evening of olympic sports tbh

both 4x100 freestyle swimming events were top class entertainment

Titmus snatching the 400m crown away from Ledecky, and also McIntosh performing better than Ledecky :clap1: also a nice surprise for the young canadian

after the swimming i watched good old Angie Kerber not willing to retire just yet, what a stunning 7-5, 6-3 win over Naomi Osaka in the clash of slam champions, Osaka really many errors and Angie knew exactly which placed balls to go for, her slices are still very much a powerful weapon for her

also nice seeing eiffel tower with a light show yet again, during breaks of that tennis game

Nicky91 28-07-2024 07:39 AM

i mean Kyle Chalmers singlehandedly saving Australia from 5th or 6th place down to a silver medal in that 4x100 freestyle relay

also where were china now with their ''world record'' in the heat :joker: no medal for them at all

Ammi 28-07-2024 07:43 AM

Team GB was celebrating its best start to an Olympic Games in over four decades as Anna Henderson claimed silver in the women’s road race time trial and divers Yasmin Harper and Scarlett Mew Jensen took bronze in the aquatics centre in Paris.

A British team had not won a medal on the first official day of an Olympics since 2004 and had last taken two of them back in the Moscow Games of 1980 but gutsy performances and a little luck delivered early success and raised fresh hopes of a record haul this summer.

…Great British start……well done the ladies…

It wouldn't work, punctuation ends the hashtag, so your one would only work as #BBC

Anyone know why there are so many chubby cheeked female swimmers ???

They have statuesque physiques yet at least 60% have podgy faces similar to our friend’s daughter who is on steroids for an illness/condition ..

Eg

World record holder butterfly .. Gretchen Walsh
