Rangers can hardly be anything more difficult than Monaco were, Ianis Hagi is possibly their most dangerous player i think

our biggest weakness is to go in sleepmode when we're 1-0 ahead then we could give it away, we beat Monaco with some luck getting to 2-2 5 minutes before the end of normal time, and one lucky deciding goal in 2nd half of extra time

record low viewers for AZ match last night in Netherlands

only 20,000 people tuned in

:fan:

Nicky91 14-08-2022 01:32 PM

good news for scottish football anyway, Rangers and Hearts assured of a group stage (Rangers either CL or EL, and Hearts either EL or ECL)

3 cypriot teams assured of group stage (either EL or ECL)

Zalgiris is the first lithuanian team to make it to a group stage, either EL or ECL

Nicky91 16-08-2022 07:20 AM

am excited for tonight

could be a great game Rangers vs PSV

Nicky91 17-08-2022 07:24 AM

am happy about the 2-2 draw

Rangers have proven they are weaker away, like with the 2-0 loss against Union in belgium

unnecessary mistake from Benitez with conceding the second rangers goal, but i forgive him maybe the nerves just got the better of him

but overall we played good

Nicky91 17-08-2022 01:11 PM

tonights games

Qarabag - Plzen

Maccabi Haifa - Red Star

Dinamo Kyiv - Benfica

Sir Alex last night watching Rangers - PSV game

Nicky91 18-08-2022 08:40 AM

hmm solid win for Schmidt's Benfica over Dinamo Kyiv

but as away goals no longer count, Kyiv only needs 2 goals for a extra time, so Benfica will have to stay alert at home to finish it

good job for swedish Djurgarden, a 3-0 home win over cypriot Apoel nicosia, that's more of a decent lead for the return, now apoel need 3 goals to make things level and 4 for the win

tonight EL play off matches
Ferencvaros - Shamrock
Zurich - Hearts
Malmo - Sivasspor
Apollon - Olympiacos
Pyunik - Sheriff
Ludogorets - Zalgiris
Dnipro - AEK Larnaca
HJK - Silkeborg
Gent - Omonia
Austria wien - fenerbahce

again no losers here, as losers of EL advance to conference league group stage :)

conference league matches tonight

@MTVN @LT

West Ham United vs Viborg

--------------------------
for me

Fiorentina vs FC Twente

AZ vs Gil Vicente

Lech Poznan vs Dudelange (yes i like Dudelange and i hope they will make to a group stage for a second time in their club history now)

Villarreal should have an easy one in Hajduk Split i think

Young Boys vs Anderlecht could be a more interesting close call one

Basaksehir vs Antwerp imo, also two strong teams and only one can advance

Beso 18-08-2022 08:43 AM

Mon the jambos.

so what?

Hearts are assured of 6 group stage matches anyway

Shamrock losing 4-0, oh well same for them, they are assured of more european cup football anyway, nothing to lose here

Nicky91 19-08-2022 01:15 PM

Twente not bad just a 2-1 away loss against Fiorentina, only one goal now for extra time

good job from AZ though 4-0 over Gil Vicente at home, now they can just focus, staying calm hopefully and defend this aggregate the best they can

Vaduz 1-1 against a bigger rapid wien :o :o lol

simple 3-1 win for West Ham, although Viborg only needs 2 goals for extra time without the away goal rule

Nicky91 23-08-2022 01:32 PM

this week decision time, who will play in champions league 1.0 and who will play in europa league aka champions league 2.0

conference league feels like the new uefa cup now

Nicky91 23-08-2022 01:47 PM

tomorrow PSV vs Rangers

Rangers without Morelos to eindhoven

PSV without Oppegard, Ledezma, Mauro Junior, Vertessen, and the already longer absent Madueke, Boscagli

but with Carlos Vinicius whom now returns from injury and after speculation of leaving the club, he seems to be staying in eindhoven

Gakpo expected to be starting 11 despite upcoming transfer to Man United

Nicky91 24-08-2022 06:32 AM

congrats to Benfica, Plzen, Maccabi Haifa on making CL group stage

good luck to Dinamo Kyiv, Qarabag, Red Star in the EL group stage

Nicky91 24-08-2022 06:34 AM

congrats to swedish Djurgarden making the conference league group stage

also excited for europa league this year how that one will unfold, think even if Rangers or PSV lose, you might still draw quite good audiences to your stadium if you can play a AS Roma, Arsenal or Monaco or Man United or Lazio Roma or Real Sociedad
