Gutless man, sacrificing normal stuff for his inheritance.

Really ,Harry and Meghan snubbed the Queen's invite , there is no title to bestow on him and he wished them well in their lives oversea's , what more did you want ?

I'd be wanting my king to be more open and relatable.

Alas not this time.

bots 09-09-2022 06:09 PM

the speech was about thanking his mum, re-confirming his commitment to the people of the UK and the commonwealth and confirming the new titles people had been assigned. Harry turned his back on royal service, he was lucky he got mentioned at all

Beso 09-09-2022 06:11 PM

As i understand it, there is a hierarchy for allocating titles for those outside the direct line of succession. When the queen died, the top position moved down a notch automatically allocating Harry's kids a title ... it wasnt a proactive decision to give them titles

BBC:

[The Royal Mint won't say how or when
it will start issuing coins with King Charles III's head
on them, but it's likely that the Queen's coins will
remain in circulation for many years,
and that the process to replace them will be a gradual one.]

Stamps and postboxes

[Since 1967, all stamps issued by the Royal Mail
have featured an embossed silhouette of
the side profile of Queen Elizabeth II.
Royal Mail will now stop producing
Queen Elizabeth II stamps - although they can still be
used on letters and parcels - and will begin
the process to create new ones.]

With all the notes being plastic these days, they are much more durable than the old paper ones, so it will be a longer time until they need replacing

When the queen dies the king can do whatever he likes.

This one has already belittled his youngest son by giving him a courteous word in his 1st speech.

Beso 09-09-2022 07:59 PM

The title of king should have went straight to william, give him a chance of being even better and greater than his grandmother for all those years.

I have said many times the queen would die on the throne and Charles would be king
The royal family has been going for over a thousand years

It was Charles birthright to be king.
William will be king when his father dies and hopefully that will a long time coming

It will give William time to be a father to his young children

Elizabeth became queen at 27 after her father died in his fifties one of the reasons her rein was so long.

Totally agree…

It was a lovely speech…. in fact it was perfect. Harry and Meghan didn’t deserve a mention but as a father he did the right thing….and a smart move imo.

He should have mentioned them 1st, because to me it felt forced after all William's new names.

The rest of the speech was fine though.

William is his 1st born and heir , ridiculous to put Harry 1st ~ you're just a wind up so goodnight.

William is next in line…he automatically gets the title. Why should he give Harry and Meghan a first mention…they have left their roles and knowing what they have done they were lucky to get a mention at all.
I think it was a clever move to stop them attacking the Institution…because if they do after what he said in his speech will just backfire on them.
It’s not going to be easy…Charles has big boots to fill and much to prove and he doesn’t need his son and his wife constantly trying to destroy their reputation.
