i couldn't get into this at all, it's just not my cup of tea

was a nice episode, the attention for detail comparing to the game

Spoiler:

Dawn of the Wolf ''film'' poster is also seen in the main game, ''Left Behind'' the title of this ep, is the title of the bonus DLC game

if this continues to follow the game's storyline then next episode indeed will be good fun
Spoiler:

with the sickening cannibal villains, David & James :yuk: James has a bigger role apparently than in the game, more dialogue and is played by the voice actor of Joel in the game, Troy Baker while David is played by Scott Shepherd whom is known for his roles in El Camino: breaking bad movie, Bridge of Spies, and in Dark Phoenix

also A-Ha's Take On Me also in this ep  something what Ellie sings in the game with her guitar

lots of fun easter eggs

I understand the point of having the flash backs for context and all that but

Spoiler:

It's the second time now they've devoted whole episodes to getting to know characters just to kill them off at the end, it's kind of annoying

if you don't know the game, ok fair enough

but i found it a very emotional one :bawling::bawling::bawling:

both Ellie and Riley being bit, thinking these are their last moments alive, and in the end Riley dying but Ellie discovering her immunity

well
Spoiler:

Bill wasn't supposed to die though, that was a original choice for the tv series for whatever reason, Bill still lives in the game (very likely too given he has traps all over that town and loads of ammo in the bunker below the church)

Ok but I haven't played the game and don't plan to, I'm just talking about the Show

It did drag a bit. But im pretty sure they're laying foundation for further seasons.

I dunno about anyone else, but for a lot of the last episode i felt i was watching an episode of Stranger Things?!

Why are the infected barely even featured in this show? It's more like the boring seasons of TWD than TLOU.

It was a decent episode, fair bit of action etc but I agree that there should be more infected

arista 13-03-2023 03:35 AM

The Final of this series

Episode 9 of 9

Is Great

Niamh. 14-03-2023 12:55 PM

I already knew roughly what was going to happen after she found the Fireflies because Luke told me about that when he was playing the game. Still a great episode/finale though

Nicky91 14-03-2023 01:08 PM

the infected are a side thing to the pandemic, this show isn't similar to walking dead lol

it is about surviving in a post-apocalyptic world with all sorts of different settlements, groups
Quote:

- FEDRA
- Fireflies
- Raiders
- several Independent settlements, including the one in Jackson
- Hunters
- Cannibals

as for the monsters you got couple of types

category 1: runner
category 2: clicker
category 3: bloater
category 4: yet to be revealed it's name but there is something worse than a bloater, some who have been infected for a long long time

it was a great season finale yes, great acting performance, also the scene with the giraffes (i was like almost like jurassic park with the brachio's, when i first saw this in the game, perfectly acted here in this episode too ) the innocence especially is highlighted here in that particular scene, a small bit of innocence in such a hard cruel world

user104658 14-03-2023 02:58 PM

:nono: Nicky you've not been reading the in-game literature! The 4 stages are

Runners
Stalkers
Clickers
Bloaters

an "offshoot" stage (somewhere between clickers and bloaters) are the "Shamblers" from TLOU2.

Plus there's "The Rat King" which is the giant mutated infected from the hospital basement that Abby fights, created by several infected being trapped in a small space for 20 years and merging into one.

There might be new variations in TLOU3 that don't exist yet (I'm expecting another 5 year time jump personally).

Loved the finale

bots 15-03-2023 10:40 AM

I’m kinda struggling with Django .. most of it is watchable but then they throw in the odd ridiculous scene
