The government do NEED to look at something like that and NOT follow the continuing procrastination road they've followed for years now under successive Prime Ministers. |
The government can't keep putting their fingers in their ears and sing la la la. Maybe they can't afford the pay demands, but that shouldn't stop them talking. People will die today as a result of this strike

Today, Monday 20th of Feb National Ambulance Strike again. GMB Union Getting no talks |
Scottish nurses offer on the table works out as around a 14%-15% increase from April 2021-April 2023 (17%+ at the lower end of the pay bands) and I think it's looking likely that the offer will be accepted on vote. Other amendments to pay scale structure are being looked at and amended going forward as well.
I think that's the best that can be hoped for, but I think it also serves as a pretty clear mandate for English staff to hold out for 15%. If the govt. continue to refuse and Scottish nurses end up on a full 15% higher salary than south of the border, there'll be an exodus of Northern English nurses moving to the South of Scotland :joker:. |
[I think that's the best that can be hoped for,
but I think it also serves as a pretty clear mandate for English staff to hold out for 15%] 12% is what many are saying is the max for UK. |
