Not a good luck. its a sh*t and pointless event!
With support from the U.S. Green Building Council, creators of the LEED Green Building Rating System, Live Earth will implement new Green Event Guidelines. All Live Earth venues will be designed and constructed by a team of sustainability engineers who will address the environmental and energy management challenges of each concert site, as well as the operations of sponsors, partners and other Live Earth affiliates. Each venue will not only be designed to maintain a minimum environmental impact, but will showcase the latest state-of-the-art energy efficiency, on-site power generation, and sustainable facilities management practices.

She always seems to swear at these major events, rather odd lol.

Callum 07-07-2007 09:13 PM

Dan_ 07-07-2007 09:17 PM

Naughty Madonna indeed :nono:.Who an earth are these guys on stage with her now? more like people you'd get on Eurovision!

Will™ 07-07-2007 09:18 PM

Callum 07-07-2007 09:18 PM

Hehe, gotta give it to her though, she is a great entertainer :dazzler:

Dan_ 07-07-2007 09:28 PM

Yeah, she does put on a good show and with so many different types of songs, there is something for almost everyone to like.

I'm looking forward to seeing some of the concert from the USA.Taking Back Sunday, Bon Jovi,Kelly Clarkson and Akon are some of the acts I'm eager to see.The concert in Rio also has a good line-up.

Callum 07-07-2007 09:30 PM

Wowa, I thought Madonnas's performance of Hung Up was extrodinary!
:bouncy:

Callum 07-07-2007 09:31 PM

Yeah USA Concert looks good, can't wait to see Kelly Clarkson, Akon, Fall Out Boy and many more..

Tom4784 07-07-2007 09:52 PM

That was SO good! I hope they release a concert dvd like Live 8 or something. Madonna was amazing! She had so much energy! Madonna was my favourite but the acts were phenonimal i thought.

Shaun 07-07-2007 10:56 PM

Dammit, I missed Madonna!

It's refreshing to see so many Madonna enthusiasts though, so I'll catch up on youtube or something.

Matt08 07-07-2007 10:57 PM

I came back from Germany yesterday and on the way back on the plane we went over London and I could see the moving lights etc. in the stadium. They must have been practicing for tonight.

Callum 07-07-2007 10:58 PM

I'm still watching the other acts - Rihanna was good and KT Tunstall was amazing imo, I've totaly fallen in love with her music!

easypeasy 08-07-2007 12:14 PM

bon jovi were great, "would you please stand up for your national anthem" he said, as the intro to "wanted dead or alive" kicked in. over here the foo fighters owned the day.

ThisIsMarie 08-07-2007 07:12 PM

It was really good!!! :cheer2:
Loads of variety, liked most of the people that I don't usually aswell.

End brought it down though . Foo Fighters were really annoying! I don't love Madonna too much but she obviously massive and good but what a cheesy, crappy performance. All those children  and the Gypsies :conf:, WTF!

Ruth 10-07-2007 11:04 AM

Foo Fighters were the best band there - terrific performance as always.

Dr43%er 10-07-2007 12:51 PM

"Didn't think much of Tom's shirt either!"

SirLukeofStamp, I will be sure to tell him the next time I see him. Opps, I think I may have dropped that name in.

Ok.... I have a few things to say about this event.... yes its a very important cause and its raised some major issues that need to be addressed before its too late BUT the carbon footprint this has left must be astronomic.

How did all the preformers get there..... with their dancers.... hair people...makeup and entourage????

I am sure that most used gas gussling aeroplanes and big people carriers to transport them to the venue. How many people around the world traveled to this event? How much was there carbon footprint?

How many of the performers traveled by private jet???? Not very eco friendly

yer but think about it they have tried so many things to make people listen about global warming and how to change and it has NOT worked!!! So if over 10,000 events 9 of which are massive concert if that doesnt help well nothing will and then it will be to late. so before you critisis them having just think why thay have had to have concerts. and in answer to your question the concerts were extremley evirmentaly friendly from lighting the stage to how artists travel to and from the concerts we were told not to come be car unless 100% nesscery loads of buses were put on for the event by doing this its acted as a example for how all concerts can be. and the money rasied was huge.

Mark 10-07-2007 03:42 PM

Between all the performers, they traveled 220,000 miles/kilometers on planes, I can't remember which - even so it's still ridiculous

not really because they all used public planes not private jets. everyone seems to think that every celeb has a private jet when they dont.
