It’s like in certain places of work. No-one really likes an unnecessarily long handover that’s just wasting time and trying to force the same level of feeling they have for certain people there onto you. Like you’re supposed to care as much that Mr Donald’s a dick or Karen from the other office ignored them at the water-cooler and was caught shopping at Aldi the other Tuesday despite claiming to be a Waitrose-only snob (maybe she just wanted cash-back so she could eat a Greek restaurant that only takes cash). Unless we know the people or circumstances on a similar level, people don’t care. And they don’t want to listen to someone by the wall standing there talking forever about stuff that’s got nothing to do with them and who the fakest flop-snob of the week is. They just want to know/fill in the deets on what’s been what during those 8/12 hours so they can do their job or get out the door and go home/the pub. The fluff is unnecessary. |

I think it's because some YouTubers cover stories that sometimes aren't really that in-depth to run for 8 minutes (which is when they start making a profit I think) so they waffle on so they can get the Ad revenue. |

Undiagnosed tics and repetitive twitches, seriously. It’s like half the world’s on the covert-Tourette’s spectrum and just can’t keep their hands/noses still. You don’t have to have misophonia to find stuff like that triggering and deeply irritating but if you do, it doesn’t help.

People being overly sensitive to the smell of essential oils.
The concept of forgiveness being touted as a sacred virtue. I’ve written theses on this issue so I’m going to put a cap on it in the meantime but what I will say is that it is not a 2024 resolution for me. |

This trend (it’s been increasing over the past 7/8 years) of neurodivergence becoming such a popular thing that every other person says they’re autistic and/or ADHD now. If it was under-diagnosed in the past, it’s over-diagnosed now. Sometimes the diagnosis is self-diagnosis that happens on TikTok and it’s just crazy.

The “ever since Covid” brigade. It’s been 4 years and your own life trajectory and most other things are not inherently impacted by a virus. Shut up.
