Loads of drone owners now. Won't people be constantly sending their drones over the top of the house and getting footage for social media?

I can't see how that could be avoided - I don't think you're entitled to "shoot down" intrusive drones?

True. I guess the garden will be being built with this in mind too. It's just weird to see how cramped it all feels from above.

Watched jade goody eviction from bb3 the other day, it's still a series I need to watch, anyway that walkway eye thing it's showing reminds me of the stage walkway they had in that series. I like the look of it all so far

Glenn-C 13-09-2023 05:28 PM

It all looks very cramped...

ComingToGetYou 13-09-2023 05:45 PM

The late C5 area was also quite cramped - the crowd sizes were small, but angles and cameras made it look bigger on TV.

They've certainly crammed a lot into that space between the 2 stages.

There's an open door into the back of the stage on the right (Iris 2) so maybe they can use space in there for the interviews and support show, well away from the house built in Iris 1.

Great Point
They Use Wide Angle Cameras

The stage looks nice

Nice. I remember Mel's eviction that year when they had Tom present her with a flower. Mel's then BF was in the audience and probably not amused at the show trying to hype a showmance that never was.

Those shots of the house entrance have got me far more excited than anything else so far. Weird "Is it indoors or outdoors?" vibe, campy futuristic look, walking through a giant metal eye. Just that whole creepy trapped in a TV simulation vibe they got the aesthetic of so right in the Channel 4 years.

Granted it's only breadcrumbs. Please just stick 10-12 relatively ordinary, diverse people in there where at least 50% of them are actually likeable and relatable, don't dick about with it too much, and the good TV will just make itself happen.

I like that the housemates will be entering the house through the eye "archway" - an inverse of the C5 era where housemates appeared from the eye and then walked through the crowd and into the house.

Also, I guess it makes up for the fact this is a soundstage and therefore doesn't have a fancy big staircase doorway entrance like the Elstree house did.

BBDodge 13-09-2023 07:33 PM

Cool to see Wembley Stadium in that photo above. It's coming home...Just 5 years of hurt.

Vanessa 14-09-2023 06:14 AM

I can't believe it's in my area. I'm so excited :amazed:

Strictly Jake 14-09-2023 08:14 AM

But yeah it's weird how close it is to those office windows. Whoever's in those offices will be able to look down at what's going on in the garden, unless they will be closed off while the series is on?

The offices are attached to the studio so I imagine they just won't be in use, or if they're used for something like the gallery or production offices they'll probably just be blacked out.

BBDodge 14-09-2023 06:12 PM

The garden wall is fairly high so may block out the view of the offices. We'll find out in a few weeks.
