Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk said he is unsure if he will be part of the post-Jurgen Klopp era at the club.

Klopp, who will leave the Reds at the end of the season, signed Van Dijk from Southampton for £75m in January 2018 and the 32-year-old defender's contract at the club runs out in summer 2025.

Asked whether he saw himself being part of the next era, Van Dijk said: "That's a big question. I don't know."

He added: "It will be the end of Jurgen Klopp's era. I am still part of it, that's why I don't like to talk about it, and that is my main focus.

He will follow Klopp imo.

He’s got nearly 18 months on his contract though. .. probably just contract negotiations
Why on earth would he leave this pool of fabulous players

it's just inevitable that some will look for new challenges when klopp leaves. There is no guarantee of liverpool success, even if they get the best manager available, that's not how it works in football. The same will apply when Pepe leaves, and i don't think that will be very far in the future. 1 more season maximum

I mean, Klopp has been excellent for Liverpool, all the big clubs around Europe will be on alert. What if Klopp goes to Real Madrid and asks VVD to come along?!

Klopp looks like damaged property to be honest

Nah, he’s good.

He already said this was taken out of context and wasn't about him leaving but more about if the new man wants to keep him and if offered he will sign a new contract

As I suggested .. it’s a non story
