I’ve gonna split my vote between Marisha and Zeze to try and get Fern out

You’d be better putting them on Zeze only. I don’t think Marisha stands a chance unfortunately.

Every single time this happens

It happened with Rachel in BB9

The genuinley nice hosuemate gets accused of being a nasty game player and the hyperbole
Of crap that gets written about them sends me loopy

Let’s not lie that Fern is fake. You may feel uncomfortable with tears and vulnerability but don’t be that person that calls it fake

It’s disgusting tbh

She’s as fake as any politician you care to mention- she’s that bad at hiding it

Yes I'm saving Zeze. Not keen on the others nominated.

I think you’re trying to get a rise out of me.

I don’t believe that’s your genuine opinion

Vanessa 18-03-2024 09:59 PM

Her and Louis have actually become godo friends. I love that

I don’t see Fern as either nasty or a game player, and I don’t think of her as fake either. I think she is less comfortable in the BB house, and being filmed 24/7, than she expected to be Hence the emotions.

Having said that, I do think she has, on a couple of occasions, shown a bit of a nasty streak, and that she tends to overplay her sugary sweetness. That doesn’t mean she’s false, though, or that these things aren’t part of her character - just that she is trying to emphasise the more positive parts, as most of us probably do to some degree.

To me, the problem is when people tend to pass judgement on a person’s character because of one thing they have said or done. All human beings are much more complex than that and their characters are multi-faceted.

Personally, I don’t dislike Fern and I think she’s probably genuinely nice, but I don’t find her particularly exciting or interesting. For me, she is bland.

Tbf, some Housemates do use tears on BB to manipulate the public into feeling sorry for them, ironically I would not accuse Rachel Rice of ever doing that, I don't know if anyone else has?

And with Fern, I think that she's always had some people just not like her, even back on her This Morning days.

For whatever reason, Fern can rub some people up the wrong way.

Tbf it's a Gameshow, and Fern knows that Louis will have a big X Factor fanbase behind him.

It's a respectable strategy that she was going for imo.

Ammi 19-03-2024 05:49 AM

…I do feel for Fern in that I think she’s seemed to struggle to bond in the house…strangely, the person that she seemed to connect with most was Gary and he obviously went quite quickly …although at the beginning she felt very mama and maternal, she doesn’t really seem to gravitate toward the younger housemates …which is cool and fine but it’s obviously got her nominated quite a bit as well, well with Nikita in particular…her tears, it feels…?..that maybe she struggles quite a bit with what she feels is ‘rejection’…anyway, she seems like a nice enough lady but she’s begun to seem as though she’s struggling a bit recently a d that’s never nice to see…someone seeming a bit more lost and detached…

bots 19-03-2024 06:13 AM

i think Fern is counting the days until she picks up her pay cheque. I'm sure she is not the only one either

Ammi 19-03-2024 06:32 AM

…whatever the reason, she seems to be generally wearing her emotions quite closely to the surface right now…?…and that’s obviously not good to watch someone going through that and not feeling as though they’re valuing their time in there…rather, feeling a bit lost…?…I don’t know if that’s how Fern is feeling, obviously and highlights can be slanted to appear one thing when they’re not…?….but that’s his it’s feeling and seeming to me and we can only go by what we see and how we ourselves process that…

I agree with you, Ammi. Fern seems to be feeling the stresses and strains of the BB house, and as if she’s struggling with the pressures. She doesn’t seem happy to me, or as if she is enjoying herself. She seems tired and fed up. She seems out of her depth.

Ammi 19-03-2024 07:29 AM

…I guess for Fern…(…as she hasn’t seemed to connect and bond so much with the younger ones through her stay…)…it’s a shame that the only older housemate left is one that she really can’t find a level of tolerance with, let alone bonding……I mean for me, Louis has seemed to go from strength to strength in the house in that at the beginning he seemed a bit SHARON dependant…and then he was gravitating toward Lauren…he’s had his kicks of confidence as well since he’s been there but it’s just strengthening him, in a way…?…whereas with Fern, she’s just seeming lower and lower…

…as a by the by, when Louis said…’I forgive you, Fern…don’t worry I forgive you…’…for casting him as the snake …she just sadly looked like she wanted to scream at him…eeeekkk….Louis has great BB house coping skills is the short of it and Fern…not so much…and that’s just an individual difference…but neither of them have any personalities that I could be ‘negative’ about….

Ammi 19-03-2024 07:36 AM

…on St Patrick’s Day as well, she gave the Irishman the snake…how very dare she…but still…’I forgive you, my child…please dry those tears…’…St Louis, the patron saint of forgiveness……

I love your responses, Hetty Lip, and the quote is great, but i feel that life is often a matter of perception, and being only human, we can interpret the truth differently, as no-one can stand outside themselves and all the experiences and influences they have had.

Sometimes, I think there is no truth but only perception, so in fact, there can be numerous ‘truths’. Reality and perception is such a fascinating concept.

Perception is subjective, a mere interpretation rather than the product of rationality. It is partial and produces an assessment tainted by emotion, a hierarchy of personal preferences. in short favouritism rather than the impartial reasoning that guides logic. .

The truth is not subject to interpretation based on personal preferences. The truth is imperial.. It is not an opinion and not compromised by personal feelings, one of the building blocks of subjectivity.

Consider the following: A man is accused of murdering a woman in the West End of London at 8pm on a Sunday. In court he claims that he was in Newcastle at 8pm on the Sunday in question and that he could not possibly have murdered the woman. Conclusion: There can only be one truth, no matter what is said, and this maxim applies to everything.
