Why? We're different countries and it just says UK.

For some reason the British Isles in general gets lumped in with the UK on polls like this.

Don't ask me why, because I have no clue as to why, but it's what happens fairly often.

Why not? You could vote Jeremy Clarkson to win it again next year.:hehe:

Or Wayne Rooney/The Destroyer Of Championship Clubs.

Kate Beckinsale is quite attractive.

And tbh I can understand the appeal of all of the ones that you've mentioned tbh.

It's what it's called in the UK anyway.

I can't help how I've been brought up to call it.

Out of interest does Ireland have it's own name for what we call the British Isles, or is it just not a thing?

Not that it would ever be used much but The Atlantic Archipelago, British and Irish Isles (we also have many Irish Islands off Ireland) or in Politics I believe they just refer to them as "these islands" when it's British/Irish discussion

Fair enough.

Thanks for the information, I always like to try and learn other countries way of thinking, or in this case what the name of something is in a particular country.

And speaking of Ireland, is it as hot over there as it is in Tamworth?:bawling:

Well hopefully the weather will be nice for you tomorrow.:)

And I'm hoping that it will cool down just a little bit in Tamworth from what it currently feels like.

Under the Interpretation Act 1978 of the United Kingdom, the legal term British Islands (as opposed to the geographical term British Isles) refers to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, together with the Crown Dependencies: the Bailiwicks of Jersey and of Guernsey (which in turn includes the smaller islands of Alderney, Herm and Sark) in the Channel Islands; and the Isle of Man.
