I will understand this irrational hatred for Coldplay and their lead singer

Basically they are fabulous musicians , gifted songwriters and really nice guys .

So many hate on Chris Martin when he’s really just a naturally shy guy who is unfortunate enough to have 3 bandmates all more shy than himself .

We have seen them LIVE 3 times and they get better all the time

They are great, I love that they're bringing a lot of traditional sounds and instruments back and yet still sound very modern and have massive appeal to younger audiences

I went to one of their gigs in Bristol last autumn in a pretty intimate venue which could only take a few hundred. This week I bought tickets to their next Bristol gig next year and they're playing somewhere 3 times the size

…I imagine they were great in a small gig…(…as they will equally be in a larger one and I’m so glad their popularity is growing…)…it’s the sort of music vibe I grew up with, having an Irish father so it has that mix of nostalgia for me as well…which made them an instant love when I saw them on Jools Holland …and they’re always a great listen……

…I think that Coldplay gave a great set at Glastonbury, Chris Martin really knows how to engage an audience, very polished and perfected etc…and some great guests also…they’re not my thing, though…I just don’t feel inspired or moved by their music…they’re not a band that I ever choose to listen to…but I appreciate that they’ve been a great addition to Glastonbury for their fans…

I can't really comment on Kendrick Lamar's Music, but I'll be surprised if it can be any worse than Drake's.

Glastonbury's Hamas-loving woke mind virus crowd send shocking message to King

Definitely true so far - from what i’ve seen

That said … Dua Lipa and Coldplay though were both amazing and totally justified their headliners status

Best set of the whole weekend was probably Avril Lavigne, weirdly. Was absolutely packed, so much so that they had to stop people entering after a while, well over capacity. She sounded excellent though, so many great hits from over the years.

Felt a bit sorry for SZA last night. She’s fantastic but not “Glastonbury closing headliner” calibre just yet imo. Not a very big crowd at all watching her sadly.

Glastonbury is the same crowd that loved to throw glass bottles at two women.

Can anyone really be shocked at their conduct?

Avril Lavigne is such a nostalgic artist for me, along with Akon and Black Eyed Peas.

Oh and The Darkness.

MTVN 02-07-2024 07:13 AM

The nostalgia factor is massive at Glasto, just look at the crowds Sugababes get. Keane also had a great crowd and did a brilliant set
