.

He is a sex pest.
Thinks far too highly of himself and needs putting in his place.

Yeah the lockers make sense ,but ....

I think it's a bad idea having a smoking hut to begin with, it's too much like a bizarre hideaway . Creep Marcello knew what he was doing, even though you can't swing a cat in there . And why was the camera footage so weak in quality ... It's giving 2001 old style.

Last year there must have been chairs or something,as I remember Olivia and her gang spending ages in there, but it was never filmed.

They should just do a open shelter or something, where they can have a roof over their head whilst smoking, but not a weird enclosed bit .

They will have to remove him for everyone’s safety ( his included) if he continues in the same way.

I can’t imagine that he hasn’t been called into the diary room and TOLD to tone things down by the production team

Wether he is bright enough to adapt is up for discussion.

I don’t think he can help himself and will cross the line in the coming days

You have answered your own question last year housemates spending too much time there so they made it small and dingy as for the camera because it’s not being filmed for the main show it’s not production quality camera

As to Marcello he does his smut all over the house so it’s not like that was his chance to pounce on her.

Yeah I'm glad they came up with a solution to stop them spending too much time in there ,still a odd little hut / area though.

Marcello would never pounce on anyone in there , he just likes talking smut . And he never knows when to drop it ...hence why they should all tell him to grow up and not feed into it .

Marcello is one of those guys that thinks he's smooth with women but is actually the opposite. He thinks saying that was funny but it had the opposite affect. If he said that to Rosie it would be different, she would find it funny. But Marcello views all women the same so didn't realize he can't say that to Ali who is gay, has a gf and on the spectrum. The joke failed terribly but it was harmless in intent

He was softening up Rosie last night, bombarded her with compliments like ‘have you modelled ?’ and ‘ you are looking sooo beautiful tonight “ and she was lapping it up as she has such a low esteem . Then he turned to his usual smutty, suggestive stuff

He probably thinks he has a chance with baked potato,he has more chance with an actual potato .

She's polite and friendly so she will accept his compliments. She definitely isn't a fan when he turns sexual talk though. I think she knows he's an idiot .

caprimint 12-10-2024 10:16 PM

Yeah definitely, he's creepy with any girl from what we've seen. You just know he could never have any girl "friends" bc he'd just try to get with any of them regardless of whether or not they were in a relationship or even if they were a lesbian it seems :skull:

It seems nothing puts him off , he's like a cringier version of Vincent Simone . But I think Vincent was more tongue in cheek with his flirting and less smutty.

It's hard for me to take any one specific event in offense as he seemingly tries to push lines every single time with sexual stuff. So I can't say his "intent" is this or that... basically, he's just Marcello... I would say it's victimless, but then we're sat here forced to sit through his cringe back to back so... it's probably not as intense in the house... one would hope.

His behaviour is unpleasant for us to witness so just imagine living with it 24/7 day after day in a place where everything is heightened beyond belief

So far all his conversations aired are sexual innuendos…I cannot see that BB would deliberately make him out to be a sex pest if he is offering up other conversations…but obviously he isn’t…

He needs to go or be warned to reign it in…

Right now there are enough people in there to run off and have conversations with that it's easier to not look like they are actively avoiding him. Imagine if there were fewer people in the house.

The cooking for the girls seems a nice ploy to force the women particularly to interact with him. But Sarah at least wasn't complaining on LF... and most seem to just be pretending he isn't making the commentary at this point. It's not like they're howling in laughter or anything when he's says sexy things... more like a polite "heh heh".

Then Marcello instigates some “play-fighting”
with Lily

Soooooo predictable

ADHD and Autism are two separate conditions. You can just have one or the other on its own, or a combination of both. However, having one doesn’t actually mean you have both, even though there is an increasing awareness that there can be some overlap. (This comes from my understanding as a teacher with a specialism in students with social and emotional difficulties, neurodiverse conditions, mental health issues and other special needs.)

I concur with your statement

I read somewhere that ADHD now comes under the autism spectrum nowadays — which surprised me somewhat

That’s spot on. And the ‘compliments’ didn’t come across as genuine but more as tools to achieve certain aims. It’s sad that such false flattery and smutty comments seem to boost the confidence of women with low self-esteem, as it is worth nothing from such self-serving, shallow and vomit-inducing men like Marcelo.

There is definitely some merging of terminology - from my understanding, people who have characteristics of both conditions are now referred to as AuDHD, whereas they were previously recorded as ASD/ADHD or ADHD with Autistic tendencies or vice versa. It just means the terminology is more succinct.

However, the students I work with, in a mainstream setting, vary greatly. Many are purely Autistic and have no characteristics of ADHD, and in fact are hyper-focused and self-contained, rather than attention deficit of hyperactive.

Others are purely ADHD with no Autistic traits, and some are just ADD, so ADHD without the hyperactivity. ItÂ’s all very individual, and no two people with either or both of the conditions will present exactly the same, as there are so many different traits that form each condition, and individuals can have all or just some, and to varying degrees. People can have a diagnosis, but only by knowing and monitoring them very closely is it possible to identify the traits that are most prominent in them, and which pose the most difficulties.

If I was to make a guess at this stage, I would say Ali has these conditions to mild degree, with fewer tendencies than many. For me, she has shown the attention-deficit aspect of ADD, rather than the hyperactivity of ADHD. This might mean she needs longer to absorb or process information, especially in a social setting, whereas her Autistic tendencies would make it harder for her to read people and situations, due to a very literal understanding of language. This would explain why she took MarcelloÂ’s joke so seriously and why her response was slightly delayed.

Interesting !!

I noticed Ali looked extremely uncomfortable when they were doing the drag show and she was very reluctant to join in on the Conga
