Both Khaled & Hanah take their faith very seriously , but they're also very western and in touch with modern day society. Hanah having traditional Muslim values, does not mean she's being controlled without a voice or mind of her own.

She said both the man & woman have respect for eachother ie the woman obeys him yes, but not as some slave.. which is what a certain person is trying to troll and imply , it's more about being a good loving wife.

People are forgetting there's plenty of British and American women who's dream is to be a wife and have kids and have a nice house they own , and they will happily cook and do stuff for their husbands, as long as the husband is a good guy and is providing and actually cares about them  .

After all despite culture and religion ,a relationship is a 2 way thing, the man has to bring something to the table and actually being a decent human being . I doubt Hanah would marry a low life who treats her badly, she was telling Segun about failed dating experiences she had in the past . She clearly wants to wait for someone special.

I'm not the most sensitive to religious groups if I'm being entirely honest, it's probably a character flaw for me that came about from being a GTA fan.

But yeah, I have no doubt that Khaled & Hannah aren't Religious extremists because they're on BB.

That's a really interesting thought. And very informative. There are different beliefs everywhere. Even in the same country or continent. Individually we have our own beliefs. We're not defined by our beliefs. We're all different in our values. No matter where you are or who you are. I would stand by anyone who I believe in, or who needs my support in their ideologies. Sometimes we just can't express it enough.

And it's interesting also to listen to other's thoughts. Hearing different views. I love integration. It's like an amalgamation of minds where we can all learn from one another.

Respect is a two way thing.

Mrluvaluva 27-10-2024 04:20 AM

Anyway Hanah is slay! Sorry headmistress. :) Loving your opinions though.

Ikr lol Lily's reaction said it all :skull:

But anyway Hanah is awful. She's so self righteous and arrogant and she's not even that upfront or honest like people say she is since she was bitching about Ali behind her back with the boys and she was never gonna say anything to her face until BB outed them. She was bitching about Lily with Emma constantly too.

Somone on Reddit yesterday made a really good post why he didn't like Hanah

I expect to get downvoted because Hanah slander seems to right now, but regardless, here's my honest opinion. I absolutely adored this girl at the start, by the way.

Ignoring Ali during the scientist task was really petty and embarrassing

The 'being used as a pawn' thing wasn't that deep at all. Wouldn't anyone in that situation act tactically? Also she was literally saved from nomination and still complaining?

Calling Lily 'the little girl' and 'the young girl' behind her back is really condescending and bitchy and I've seen no one mention it

Lily didn't 'speak over' Hanah when she was giving her opinion, she disagreed

There's a difference between being honest and just being bitchy

Her whole being 'one of the boys' thing is weird and she gives major pick me energy

Katmieow 27-10-2024 09:39 AM

I like her, she's not taking any nonsense.

Taking or talking , I struggle to understand what on earth she is saying so I have no idea if she is an intelligent or even interesting individual

If you had watched the show you may have gotten up to speed with her accent like a lot of others have done.

Such hyperbole. She isn't that hard to understand, some are just pretending that she is for (I suspect) pretty murky reasons.

If a working class or cultural accent automatically stops you even starting to listen to a person than that may be something to work on.

Genuinely shocked at the type of commentary being allowed on here in comparison to other platforms.

See, I do like her. I don't love her, but I do like her and the role she is playing right now.

I do think that all these hyper exaggerated "I don't understand her" comments are a bit suspect though... I mean, criticise her for who she is and her actions and not how she speaks, IMO.

But, yeah... I am OK with Hanah, though my support is fragile right now and it wouldn't take much for her to fall.

Not at all, plenty of people don’t like her and that’s fine! Your ramblings about her weird though!

OnTheRight 27-10-2024 11:50 AM

I really dislike her, she is vile.

BBXX 27-10-2024 12:19 PM

Overall I really like Hanah - I think she can be a bit quick to make an argument out of nothing sometimes, and found her reaction to her rule break quite pathetic (say it with chest, but didn't say anything at all) and the subsequent frosting out of Ali in the task very strange. but I like her loyalty and I like her values. I think she's extremely intelligent.

Ok. I'm gonna pick at that comment. Hanah was paired with Lily. She felt, in a way, that she was used just so Lily would make it to the next stage. Nothing to do with her qualities as a HM. So effectively she was a pawn in the game. I understand her stance because she's not just taken that one thing on board, but the whole picture of things. Maybe you were saved, but for the wrong reasons? Doesn't add to your self esteem does it? Now Hanah is aware of that. Ok, not necessarily handling it in the best way, but, she's human.

…that bit in bold is quite interesting…I recall an entirely different ‘iconic’ BB use of that descriptive by Aisleyne back in the day…obviously that was said in a different condescending vein and as a put down…but I think that was more how it was said/the context as oppose to the actual wording…it is something to give thought to, though…that if it had been said by ‘insert another housemate’ would some of us take/interpret it differently depending on who it was said by and who it was said to…the whole context etc…I did cringe a bit when Hanah referred to Lily that way, I have to say…but (…I think…)…that it was more said in a ‘Lily is quite young and that’s something I’ve factoring in feeling protective toward her getting upset at hearing anything negative…’…/type way…

Errr no

Thats like saying I will understand Spanish after watching Barcelona with a Spanish commentary !

Its not only her dreadful diction she also seems to shorten a lot of words as well - a double whammy so to speak .

No, I agree. You only have a problem with her specific one.

Ammi 27-10-2024 03:16 PM

…to be fair to Zizu, not always understanding accents, expressions and an individual way of speaking etc is something that’s often been something that some have difficulty with….hmmmm, I’m not sure if Paul last year had comments about not understanding his Liverpool accent, I think he might have and I know the Geordie accent once with Jay McKray was one that was commented on at the time…and also Alex Rose I think was another…?…I’m thinking there may have been a housemate who was sometimes subtitled as well…maybe that was through live feed, though…I can’t recall exactly…anyway, I don’t think that there is anything deeper than Zizu just not being able to follow and understand something…

Wonder if the same people took issue with Aisleyne BB7's accent ? . Remember her famous quote to Nikki " know yourself little girl " lol.
