I'm actually surprised by that. That "this" would be the issue, especially given that it's Trump here so not sure what some were expecting there.

Partisanship has become more American Wrestling meets social media echo chamber at the national level, so I don't think it's because of his lack of "decorum". The voices we're exposed to now simply just "go there" with no qualms and Americans themselves in general are less than apologetic when it comes to sharing of views.

I think it's partly that Democrats and Republicans will echo their political friends outside of the US in their contacts regarding international affairs. Trump is seen as "the Right", and so far it would seem Russia is closer to Trump politically than not just based on the fact he's put no substance or distance there to imply otherwise. They might as well be allies because that's how our politics has always locked itself down, ie each side never disses their friends, etc... it's very lockstep.

I think it's fair so many here are done with giving Ukraine inordinate amounts of money with no end in plain view, but the begging of mineral contracts would seem to keep us in the war, at least financially, as a way to do business and that runs counter to his other claims of getting us out.. so personally I think it's a mixture of not distancing ourselves from Russia, which effectively assists them, and seemingly trying to make deals with Ukraine that will likely keep us embedded in war.

Best case scenario (unlikely) he is concerned about upsetting Putin so that he keeps a hold of his card. It's fair to question his motives here because he is currently very hostile to so many of the entities that at least in the past would've been considered allies...

If you are comfortable enough to carry on until theres over 5 million dead then that's your prerogative.

It's only a load of foreigners anyway, right?

If only. He is local to us and has been around forever. I never particularly liked or disliked him but he is 77. We desperately need term limits.

Trump is 78 himself and watching Congress is really like watching the local residents have it out over something petty at the weekly luncheon.

But A. Green
wants to impeach Trump.

So that's part of why he raised his Walking Cane.

Biden and McConnel should have been the warning to all americans. They may be fine when they take office, but at that age, health issues can strike in an instant. High pressure roles and an elderly age or not a good combination

Yeah, you're not kidding, bots. Sylvester Turner who is a newly minted Congressman at 70 just passed away. He was our mayor for quite a while.

Now Zelensky had to meet EU Leaders
today, fair enough,

But he needs to fly back to the USA
to sign the Trump Form,
tomorrow.

As his troops are fighting blind
He must ask President Trump
to put the Important Military Signal back on.

Well he cannot just fly into Washington and arrive at the White house to sign it can he??
The unhinged odious creep Trump wouldn't entertain that.

He's told him he'd sign it at Trump's convenience.
After being more blackmailed and threatened by Trump
It's up to Trump to invite him back.

Just how do you think Trump would react also to any request from Zelensky as to a decision of Trump's.

Why do you always put the onus onto Zelensky and NOT unhinged Trump?

bots 06-03-2025 04:11 PM

France and the UK can still provide their own intelligence, ukraine is not blind
