It isn't easy to answer, but I would say Liverpool has had a better season overall due to their domestic cup runs. Winning the Champions League would be incredible for player recruitment and football heritage, but I don't start a season thinking about winning the ECL due to Wengers consistent round-of 16 exits, I do, in the last three seasons, think about if Arsenal can finally get over the line in the league

Anyway, what a performance. Spanked the champions in their backyard

Two great assists from my guy Merino

Smile

Interesting semi finals

I obviously want Barca to beat Inter

Either of Arsenal or PSG would please me as both play lovely football

Partey will be a big miss but I would imagine PSG will be just too much for the Gunners

Arsenal have been bloody terrific

All with a midfielder playing at CF !!

Zizu 16-04-2025 09:22 PM

Incidentally what was Saka thinking with that penalty ?

Anyone ?

Surely you only do a chip like that in the centre of goal. ???

Zizu 16-04-2025 09:25 PM

Crazy how poor Real Madrid are this season

Pretty sure Barca have beaten them two or three times and fairly easily -all with a team if kids and two old Polish guys

personally, i think any team that gets to the quarter finals of the CL has shown their quality. From that point forward, it's pretty random who will end up winning it.

Liverpool haven't had an exceptional season, it's just the media that have built them up. I honestly think the PL has completely gone off the boil. It's largely boring these days

Nicky91 17-04-2025 08:16 AM

PSG and Barca might've lost their return matches, but they did just enough to advance and that is what counts more

Donnarumma deffo saved PSG vs Villa with quite a few stunning saves, as well as Pacho (whom made errors yes, but in the final minutes of the game, a on the line save from a shot by Ian Maatsen)

Arsenal did amazing in that Bernabeu also winning there, you know how difficult teams have it there, but Real Madrid need to rebuild their squad next season, especially in the defensive areas they need to reinforce

PSG only scraped past Villa tbf.

So there's hope for the Gunners.:fc:

Villa brutalised PSG in that second half

They left left ‘something’ on an opponent in virtually every challenge especially McGinn , Digne and Cash .

That’s why when Villa play Newcastle they don’t really need a ball

I think PSG will just pass around and through the Arsenal team

Zizu 17-04-2025 08:32 AM

Barca v PSG would be an amazing final

A true 50:50

Poor Stansfield when we get promoted to the Premier League.:worry:

Two brutes while we're playing Football.:bawling:

If Arsenal win the CL it will be massive for the club and their fans and they wont give a tuppenny fck about Liverpool and what they win

Beso 17-04-2025 10:26 PM

Could we factor in man Utd or Tottenham into the equation, if we include how dire they have been all season. If one of them wins the Europa.

Niamh. 08-05-2025 07:44 AM

Well

Beso 08-05-2025 08:13 AM

I think Liverpool win.

Nicky91 08-05-2025 08:14 AM

oh well, still a few english european cup finals i think

quite likely Chelsea in the conference league final

and very likely but you never know heading for a Man U vs Spurs europa league final

Nicky91 08-05-2025 08:15 AM

and easy to explain Man U, Spurs in the lower half of PL, maybe they invested more into their european cup campaigns, and doing just enough to survive the PL

like Sevilla usually in La Liga, they also are often in the lower half of the table

bots 08-05-2025 08:20 AM

the way arsenal are going at the moment, they could lose 2nd spot in the league too

Nicky91 08-05-2025 08:28 AM

this weekend Arsenal are playing away vs Liverpool (whom are already champions) got nothing left to play for, so they're likely to be doing some squad rotations

but 3 points are necessary for Arsenal, especially given Newcastle at home vs Chelsea, and Man City away vs a relegated Southampton whom also got nothing left to play for but maybe the honour of ending their PL season on a positive note, going back to the championship with a slightly better feeling than chancelessly relegated

MTVN 08-05-2025 12:14 PM

Spurs might end up finishing 17th and have a better season than Arsenal :skull:

Despite around 23 DEFEATS this season thus far ( all competitions ) ??

Zizu 08-05-2025 01:21 PM

Arsenal have reportedly tested Ipswich’s resolve with a £50 million offer for Delap !!

Sadly there’s a handful of clubs interested

The Utd/Spurs final is gonna be so unpredictable. No one would be shocked if it was 0-0 after 120 mins, or 3-3 at half time
