I get that but we've seen a lot of growth in the others relationships from similar positions of not always understanding each other or having grown apart but a month into the race and the sisters still don't seem that comfortable around each other. And every time it's the same conversation of 'we used to be close but now we're not', 'you need to open up more', 'you went off to Italy' etc etc Elizabeth saying 'our relationship is very surface level' was a really strange thing to say about your sister. Letitia is also supposedly the withdrawn one who lacks confidence but comes across very outgoing and bubbly to me, much more so than Elizabeth

…(…I think, how I see it with them…)…is that their relationship/their circumstance is a bit more layered than any of the others in that they have actually physically been apart for most if not all of their adult lives and that’s quite a more unique thing…I guess the ones I’m thinking of are the brothers who are obviously much older…but they also shared a childhood and then have been part of each others lives through so many stages of their adult lives as well…so their relationship/bond couldn’t in any way feel surface because there’s been that physical close proximity of being part of each others lives…but the sisters don’t have that, have never had any bond as adults so far as we understand…all of their bonding has been as children…so I do think that I understand what she meant by ‘surface’…. because we don’t think and feel the same as dependant children as we do as independent adults….I think also on a by the by…that so much of those competitive type things that siblings go through…(…and they so, so do…)…the sisters to an extent seem to be on the catch up of having that phase now…‘I’m the middle child too/no you’re not, you’re the second child…you don’t get to be the middle child…/…no we’re both middle children…’…it just feels that they’re on a catch up to be able to feel deeper than surface and they’re both so used to being independent of each other as well as being independent adults so that’s another level they find of their ‘place within each others lives’….

Just caught up. So happy for Caroline and Tom. They are doing so well and really relishing the experiences too.

Plus I think this is the first time we’ve had a team go from 5th to 4th to 3rd to 2nd to 1st in succession each leg.

MTVN 29-05-2025 08:08 PM

Fin and Sioned :clap1: they're so endearing

MTVN 29-05-2025 08:10 PM

Love Brian and Melvyn as well. Every leg they seem so calm just mosying around sightseeing and getting into the local experiences, they never seem to spend much money, always take public transport and yet normally end up being faster than everyone else

…Fin and Sioned……they have the smallest budget left but wow, 26 hours made up…that’s immense….

…lovely to see what felt like huge emotional steps with Elizabeth and Letitia as well……

…such an endearing cast this season…

I like Brian and Melvyn too, there my fav's and would live them to win.

millyrose 31-05-2025 02:40 PM

I like all off them, they all seem to be enjoying the experience, maybe except for Fin and Sioned she just come's across as a bit of a spoilt brat and should stop whinging and crying.

Nah I don’t see her like that. They’re from a small town in wales and India is very overwhelming if you’re not used to it, especially if you’re sensitive to stuff like that. I’m well traveled and even I found it overwhelming at times when I visited.

Benjamin 31-05-2025 08:25 PM

I love all the teams this year. I wouldn’t mind who ends up winning as I’m enjoying all of their journeys.

Ammi 04-06-2025 08:15 PM

…I love Caroline and Tom so much……

MTVN 04-06-2025 09:00 PM

Oof was not expecting that ending :skull:

Ammi 04-06-2025 09:01 PM

….ahhhhhhhh, I couldn’t have called that but so, so happy …Caroline faced things that she had avoided and seeing her so exhilarated was wonderful….…and Elizabeth and Letitia doing so well as well….still anyone’s race really and any would be lovely winners…

…nope…not sure how it happened tbh, I couldn’t have called any of that…

LaLaLand 04-06-2025 09:31 PM

Well done Caroline and Tom! Gutted for Brian and Melvyn. The vineyard trip cost them I think. Great editing at the end too.

I never want this show to end!

Vanessa 05-06-2025 08:07 PM

Catching up now

Ammi 10-06-2025 03:49 AM

…looking forward to the final tomorrow, it’s felt such a quick season but an excellent cast, who it’s been great to follow across the world……

BBXX 11-06-2025 02:12 PM

There is usually one duo I am not so keen on, but this year not at all. They've all provided excellent value, even Yin and Gaz in that short space of time, was sad to see them go. I really don't mind any of them winning this year, but I think I'd be most pleased if Caroline & Tom or Fin & Sioned.

I've really come to adore Caroline and her enthusiasm for a life she's only just really living how she wanted. It's been a nice story.

…I love how Yin and Gaz maintained their friendship…how much love they have for each other outside of a romantic shared relationship in the past…that’s such a special thing…and I agree that they’re all so lovely this season that I really would love to see any of them win…I’m a little more cheerleading for Caroline and Tom but only because they’re from the area that I used to live until recently so…well, they’re ex-neighbours of mine…and I love how they’re finding and stretching their independent feet together…Tom because of his health restrictions and Caroline because of her lack of self/confidence in her many, many skills……

Vanessa 11-06-2025 03:00 PM

I'll catch up on this tomorrow.

Benjamin 11-06-2025 08:00 PM

On now

Benjamin 11-06-2025 08:19 PM

Tom and Caroline are honestly adorable

Benjamin 11-06-2025 08:55 PM

Spoiler:

Yeeeees so happy for Caroline and Tom. Well deserved.

I loved all teams and they all had beautiful journeys. And 45 minutes between the top 3 is nuts!

Ammi 11-06-2025 08:58 PM

…..aaaaghhhhhhh, that was so nail-biting….I’ll spoiler this for Vanessa…

Spoiler:

…Caroline and Tom……any of them would have been wonderful winners, I was so rooting for them throughout, though….I have to say that I would have stayed at the Hindu wedding for three days and to heck with the race…how gorgeous was Clinton in rushing off to buy the food provisions for Fin and Sioned…presidential in name/presidential in nature…such a kind soul…..…

MTVN 11-06-2025 09:08 PM

Spoiler:

What a great finale, so close! Was hoping Finn and Sioned would win and think they would have if they hadn't gone wrong at the very end. Felt sorry for Melvyn and Brian as well because they smashed every leg apart from the penultimate one

I do think the budget was a bit generous though because not one of the teams ever had to worry about it and even Finn and Sioned were able to get taxis at the end despite splashing out the most
