Whatever.

You choose to "support" them on a BB site.

I'll choose to send money to the search and rescue teams.

We'll see which ones Kate & Gerry welcome more, ey.

Edit: And thank you Callum & Matt, also my last post in the thread.
Did I ever say this is all I have done. I have held fund-raisers at work, sold ribbons at work, sold teddy bears at local schools and donated money so don't you dare say my support will not be welcomed.

So everyone that doesn't have a Maddie banner doesn't care about her?
I didnt say that. All Im saying is, the OP only suggested it to show support, so its for the people that want to do it

If that's what you want to do, .Too Perfect, then by all means have a banner.

Others may wish to show their support in other ways, such as donating money as Lauren did.

Just because you don't choose to use the banner doesn't mean that you don't care.

Hugo 19-08-2007 04:30 PM

I never said that stop putting words in my mouth. I said they choose not to support the case through a banner.

Scarlett. 19-08-2007 04:32 PM

I forgot to put the link for my banner

i hope you like my banner

Hugo 19-08-2007 04:48 PM

Yeh it's great.

Jack 19-08-2007 04:50 PM

Maybe you should change the message in your banner to something like "Praying for Maddie". "TiBB Campaign to Find Madeleine" sounds like you are actively trying to search for her, which you are not. It's a nice idea to show your support though.

You know, it's ironic that you ask for a Maddie banner, then when BB5 gives one to you you dont use it...

Hugo 20-08-2007 10:01 AM

Well obviously if you will look back in this thread you will notice I haven't really had enough support and my ideas to support a missing 4 year old girl have been slated by a few indivuduals. Which is stange. How could you not want to help? :conf2:

Of course not.....................It's showing they choose not to support her and her family.
That's an extremely offensive thing to say. You're saying because I choose not to have a banner, I don't care about Maddie. How on earth do you know what I or other people may have done to assist the campaign to find Maddie?

If you want a banner, fine, that's your absolute right, but please don't make offensive assumptions about those of us who choose not to have one.

It's not a question of not wanting to help. The fact is that your banner won't be any constructive help whatsoever. That doesn't mean that you should not display it if you want to. But people choose to help in many different ways.

Jack 20-08-2007 10:49 AM

I think putting a few words in your sig is far more tasteful and respectful maybe with a link to the donation website (only if you have donated yourself). Making a pretty banner which looks "official" is the wrong way to go about it because it's the message you want to communicate, not how you tart it up.

Hugo 20-08-2007 12:46 PM

A Find Maddie Poster woudn't be a few lines on a blank background.

Hugo 20-08-2007 12:56 PM

I guess some people want to support Maddie by using banners and some just dont.

Doesn't mean you can't use it. After all it was you that requested it...

Hugo 20-08-2007 03:45 PM

Okay this discussion was over now just piss off.

Watch your language...

As far as I'm concerned as long as the topic is not locked the discussion is not over...

It's nice to know that had I wasted my time making you a banner, it would have gone down the drain because you wouldn't have used it...

supernoodles! 15-09-2007 12:09 PM

I have to say that this is a really pathetic argument, checkmate I understand what your saying,i think its a good idea, its shows that we are thinking of her:thumbs:
