Nice one Sticks....Cirrus because it leads you aloft whereas the 'other' is a barrier to trap you below.

( I like this game too )

History or Geography

BigSister 07-10-2003 09:31 PM

History because I learnt it at school
Next
English or Maths

kaphc 08-10-2003 09:41 AM

Maths because you always work it out logically and the answer is always right or wrong.

Next ....

Weekend in London or weekend in the Cotswolds?

Mervi 08-10-2003 01:08 PM

In London because I love the sights!

Give or take?

Romantic Old Bird 08-10-2003 02:06 PM

Mmm, got to be giving because it is actually better than receiving...

Tweetie Pie or Woody Woodpecker?

BusyBee 08-10-2003 04:27 PM

Tweetie Pie cos we had a yellow budgie called that.

Autumn or spring.

Sticks 08-10-2003 04:47 PM

Autumn

Because it is time for harvest

Benjamin Britain or Ludvig Van Bethoven

LEE 08-10-2003 04:50 PM

I presume you mean Benjamin Britten Sticks.

I've never been much of a Beethoven fan I'm afraid much of his music is a bit pompous for my liking. I studied quite a lot of Britten as part of my music degree and have actually done some chorus work in Peter Grimes, so my answer is definitely Britten.

Guitar or Piano

Skip 08-10-2003 05:24 PM

PIANO, as with Elton John. I won't name every wonderful song he has ever played piano on, but my most favourite is "Someone saved my life tonight."

Snoring or Chewing fingernails ??

BusyBee 08-10-2003 08:53 PM

Snoring - excuse for poking OH in the ribs when he keeps me awake.

On the same sort of subject.

SLEEP TALKING or SLEEP WALKING

kaphc 08-10-2003 09:28 PM

Sleep walking - apparently I sleep talk, so I can't choose that can I???

Heaven or Hell?

Boris 08-10-2003 10:14 PM

Hmmmm....kaphc...this is not really an option!

I think you have to decide where you will be 'sent' not where you would choose to go.

Maybe 'life' is heaven on earth - for some anyway. For others it is hell on earth !

I suppose I would prefer 'heaven' not having masachistic tendancies !

Boots or shoes ....

http://www.charterhousefactoryshop.co.uk/footwear.jpg

kaphc 09-10-2003 09:24 AM

OK, OK I take your point Boris!

On your choice, I will go for Boots as they are nice and warm to wear in this weather.

Let's have an easlier option next ...

Deep pan or thin and crispy (when referring to pizzas of course!)

BigSister 09-10-2003 04:11 PM

Deep Pan because I think they are taster
Next
Simon Cowell or Richard Park

WILDCHILD 09-10-2003 04:40 PM

Gotta be Simon cos he is the original (other than Nigel, I spose!)

Day or night-time!

BigSister 09-10-2003 05:25 PM

Day time when not at education. Night time when is
Probably Day time
Next
Chips or Mash

Romantic Old Bird 09-10-2003 07:03 PM

No contest really.......
http://images.google.co.uk/images?q=..._pix/fries.gif

mayonnaise or vinegar?

BigSister 09-10-2003 07:22 PM

Vinegar because its good on chips and I like chips
next
Sun or Rain

Sticks 09-10-2003 11:36 PM

Rain
It is miserable and wet
Seems rather apt somehow :bawling:

Gilbert and Sullivan or Shakespere

(BTW I went to see my first live performance of HMS Pinafore )

Romantic Old Bird 10-10-2003 12:56 AM

OOH THE BARD ANYTIME!

G&S drive me round the twist.

On that subject........

Henry V film:

Olivier or Brannagh?

Boris 10-10-2003 09:02 PM

Olivier seems a bit 'stilted' these days so I go for 'Brannagh' although I am not generally a great fan of his.

Theatre or Cinema

kaphc 10-10-2003 09:31 PM

That's quite hard to decide as I like both.

I think on balance I'd have to go for the theatre - nothing beats a live performance, where anything could go wrong.

In honour of the Rugby World Cup ......

Scrum or Kicker

Janette 10-10-2003 10:41 PM

Ooh I do like a nice scrum!!!!!

Eddie Van Halen or Dave Lee Roth?

Skip 12-10-2003 04:07 PM

Dave Lee Roth. Not much to add to that, just like his music better.

Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter ?? :conf:

BigSister 12-10-2003 04:12 PM

Harry Potter because I like the books

Turkey or Chicken
