Tom4784 28-02-2008 05:26 PM

I always quite liked Seymour as a villain, he's quite different from other FF villains, not the strongest...but very clever.

Scarlett. 08-03-2008 10:45 PM

He is very sinister, and not OTT
but truth is Killman Hillman is more evil than Seymour (had a convo about it today xD)

Tom4784 08-03-2008 11:17 PM

I don't know, I think Seymour is more evil, setting those fiends on the people in the stadium, setting up for loads of people to die in Mi'hen plus he kills the Ronso people on the mountain.

Scarlett. 08-03-2008 11:19 PM

Aye I suppose your right

but Killman killed for himself

Seymour killed to free Spira from pain

Tom4784 08-03-2008 11:32 PM

Did he? I thought he killed because [spoil]he wanted to become Sin?[/spoil]

Scarlett. 08-03-2008 11:33 PM

Aye he wanted to [spoil]become Sin to free everyone from pain, by killing them[/spoil]

btw its "spoil" lol

Tom4784 08-03-2008 11:35 PM

Oh! Ditzyness strikes again!

[spoil] to be fair though, killing everyone in the world is kinda.....uber evil lol[/spoil]

Scarlett. 08-03-2008 11:38 PM

LOL

[spoil]True but Hillman killed for money and his own backside, and wanted to kill his family and would have kept on killing[/spoil]

Tom4784 08-03-2008 11:45 PM

[Spoil] But still, Seymour's heart was in the right place but he was kinda blinded to what the consequences and ramifications of his actions would be, if he succeeded the world would have ended. While with Richard Hillman, he was motivated by greed but his actions would have only affected a few while Seymour's would have affected millions.[/spoil]

This is another reason why I like Seymour, His character is quite deep and you can have a good discussion about him.

Seymour is an intersting character

[spoil]He has many reasons why he is like he is (his mum being Anima for one)[/spoil]

Tom4784 08-03-2008 11:57 PM

Yeah, he is one of the only villains in FF that you can see why he turned out like he did and have some sympathy, Apart from Sin (I'd argue that the current Sin isn't a villain though) and perhaps Sephiroth depending how you look at it.

Scarlett. 08-03-2008 11:58 PM

Aye, Jecht wants Tidus to kill him and save Spira, so Sin is a good enemy I suppose

Tom4784 09-03-2008 12:00 AM

He is kinda like a wild animal really, not evil but unable to control it's feral instincts.

Scarlett. 09-03-2008 12:02 AM

Aye

Another discussion was "Did Jecht really love Tidus?"

I mean we know he did, because of the Sphere, but he only realised it when he realised he wouldnt see Tidus again

Tom4784 09-03-2008 12:04 AM

Yeah you never realise what you've got till it's gone. I reckon he did, but he had an 'uber masculine' thing going on so he thought he couldn't acknowledge it until he realised that he'd never see Tidus again, kinda like a cards on the table sort of thing.
