Love the final, its ashame they mimed badly though.
I hope it gets a second series, I have a feeling it will even though it has done terrible in the ratings.

I'm gonna miss this so much! It actually became a part of my normal Sunday night routine. =[ Hate how they left it at a cliffhanger, though ¬__¬. I really hope it gets a second series. I wanna know what Lauren's test results are! lol.

Yeah, it was. She opened the envolope, then later on she told Mr. Nuegen (<is that how you spell it?) and Claudine that she has this other thing with a really long name and that she wasn't dying & didn't have MS.

Noel 20-12-2008 06:03 PM

Axed!

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/a1435...ne-series.html

Britannia High has been axed after just one series.

ITV1 has decided to discontinue the musical drama, which failed to be a ratings success for the channel.

The show, which cost £2 million to produce, was created by Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips and Take That singer Gary Barlow.

"We thought Britannia High would be an all-singing, all-dancing success - especially having the top names in dance and music on board," a source told The Sun.

"Sadly, the stories of these youngsters vying for their dreams didn’t seem to capture viewers’ imagination.

"The credit crunch is affecting everything, not least TV. A second series of Britannia High was just not viable."

The programme opened to a disappointing 3.31 million viewers in October and later fell to a low of just 2.4 million in its third outing.

Spike 19-01-2009 04:28 PM

I think its the right decision, the ratings weren't good and also its suits the shows to be a one off series
Still ashame its gone thought

MrGaryy 19-01-2009 04:36 PM

Credit Crunch my ass. It failed due to very bad writers.

Princess 19-01-2009 05:46 PM

I loved it! The songs were so the best part.....

Shame there's not gonna be another series.
