No. There is no harm done. If she is real and expects everyone online to believe everything she says, then she's also deluded and living in a bubble.

No I don't believe that, but I am not going to suddenly believe she isn't real because everyone else is doubting her, I am capable of creating my own decision. I dont live in a bubble, I give my opinion when its needed, hence why I am not backing down on this because I am voicing my opinion. I could easily go 'Yeh whatever' and stop posting. But if you have missed my previous post I will post it again!
And I will repeat, I'd rather look a fool and believe it than be rude and insist an ill woman is fake.

I agree Tom, everyone does. But sometimes I think its nice for some opinions to be kept to themselves, there is being opinionated and then being rude.
If you disagree then fine, but I have been brought up that way, treat people the way I would like to be treated, i tell the truth and the right opinion when it matters, but when the opinion is just to cause some chaos and hurt someone's feelings. Then thats when it should just be kept to yourself.

Its how I was brought up, thats why I disagree so strongly. I hope you respect my opinion on this, like you want to be respected on your opinions.

NettoSuperstar! 30-01-2009 12:53 PM

True! And personally if a few people questioned anything about me I wouldnt give two ***** cos I know what the truth is! (I love how if ***** is in the plural its not considered rude enough to censor!)

lily. 30-01-2009 12:55 PM

So you don't live in a bubble, and you don't think everyone online is who they say they are, yet you take personal offense at the fact that I don't believe Angie?

I'm not following Fom. I'm not following why this is upsetting you personally so much.

I get that you have the complete opposite opinion, but I don't get why you feel the need to call me names and assault my character because we differ on our views.

Can you explain why you felt the need to do that?

Fom 30-01-2009 12:55 PM

Right, I told myself I wasn't gonna get back into this, and I have been sucked back into this petty argument. I am just going to draw the line at we agree to disagree. It's not worth arguing with you, you just annoy me with your 'Im better than you because I know how to have an opinion' crap.

lily. 30-01-2009 12:57 PM

There you go again. You are insulting me and accusing me of thinking I'm better than others. I don't understand why you do that.

NettoSuperstar! 30-01-2009 12:58 PM

I missed summat there! whoooosh

lily. 30-01-2009 12:58 PM

What did you miss Netto?

Sunny_01 30-01-2009 12:59 PM

Personal insults are not allowed on this forum - calling someone a Muppet is a personal insult, if this continues a warning will be issued - Sunny

You are taking it out of context, I dont care what you believe. You can believe she is whatever you want, thats not what bothers me. The only thing that annoyed me was where you decided to express it. It's escalated into something silly, and lets just finish it there.

Sorry, as mentioned I would take it back if I could.

So you have appointed yourself the forum censor now?

It's hardly surprising I received in excess of 10 U2U's from people who agreed with me but were afraid to post it on the forum.

This is precisely why these members felt the need to keep it to themselves. They feared the abuse they would have to endure at the hands of self-appointed forum police.

YOu really cant talk without resulting into insults. I think if youre unable to do that on a forum, then its definitely not your place. First of all, most people dont agree with you, as in you telling people to stop questioning Angie if they feel like it. At least the people who believe her, are able to give their opinions, without insulting anyone, and respecting their thoughts. I suggest you stop, because you obviously arent able talk to people, in a respectful matter.

I am happy to leave this thread open as long as people post within the forum rules, lets try not to argue and keep the discussion constructive.

Oh, that.

Yeah, that would be on account of the fact that I don't claim to have a superior opinion to anyone else. I have an opinion, and it's mine. That's about all there is to it. lol

there is only one member not being constructive here. Everyone else is just giving their thoughts as it should.
Either way, it doesnt make a difference to me if a FM is fake or not, to be honest. Frankly thats the danger of some people getting too personal here, when it comes to being open on a forum. And the fact that there are kids here, makes it even more dangerous.

lily. 30-01-2009 01:13 PM

I agree AMA. That's why I don't discuss my personal life on a web forum. I make 'friends' online but they are not a part of my real life, nor will they ever be.

I do to! I might become closer friends to some on facebook or something, if I know we have things in common. But I really try to avoid people younger than 16, thats why I always found a certain member a bit strange.

NettoSuperstar! 30-01-2009 01:19 PM

Amen! I hope the kids take the same approach, good point. I was thinking about the other day, people give far far far too much info about themselves on here/the net in general and dont see the potential dangers.

lily. 30-01-2009 01:19 PM

Yeah, it's tricky on here as there are so many younger members, and I don't discriminate on the board, but I like to keep my MSN list to over18s as much as possible. I don't have a whole lot in common with anyone younger than that.

My closest friend on here is 40. I talk to him more than anyone else.

Oh yeah, when it comes to discussions ang games, I dont discriminate either, and I treat every member with the same amount of respect, weather they are real young or older than me. Thats the beauty of a forum.
