Really, really sad. Whatever your views of someone - whoever it may be - news like this is just awful. I can't believe she has such a short time to live, and she'll have to leave behind her sons. :sad: I never thought this would happen. She has definitely always been a fighter but this is beyond her...

I think its made even worse by that Jade's live has been reality TV since 2002 and whether you like her or not a lot of people identify with her, some might feel like they *know* her so for it to happen to her is like it happening to someone they have known for years.

It's terminal now and the treatment has stopped, so sadly I doubt she's going to get better.

At what cost though - being the kids of the woman so addicted to publicity she allowed herself to die on TV. That'll make them real proud I'm sure.

It's hard to feel sorry for Jade Goody the mother, the daughter, the person, when Jade Goody PLC is still being shoved down our throats. The justification that it is for the kids may be understandable too some, but it's just awfully misguided IMO, and if anyone had the kids real interests at heart, a stop would be put to it.

There is clearly a lot of interest in this story otherwise it wouldn't be as big as it is, and it wouldn't be making so much money, money that she is leaving for her kids to give them a good start in life, something she never had. Why should she not be allowed to do that just because of a few cynical people on forums? In the wider public, this is quite a big story and a lot of people are interested in it. Maybe its because shes lived in the spotlight of the media for the past few years. Because of her background a lot of people feel they know her and can identify with her. The media latched onto Jade, not the other way around. They have followed her for years, she hasn't engineered it all until after the race row when she started to work with Max Clifford. If the media hadn't done what they have done in the past few years then perhaps we wouldn't be hearing of the story in the depth we have. The media love Jade, so whether or not she speaks out they are going to publish stories anyway.

The media love "cancer victim Jade". They didn't love "racist bully Jade". All they care about is the story, not the person involved.

So you're going to forget the small detail that the media were very nice to her for 5 years, then had a go at her for being racist then forgave her about a month later and it was business as usual?

Jade is a product of the media. If she wasn't selling her stories then she would be in the papers anyway with the "source".
