This AsdaWalmart bargain for One Pound
is amazing Value.

And No Artificial Flavourings, No Colors
and the important No Hydrogenated Fat.

Good enough for Lauren
if she needed a budget meal.

If you have a £1 bargain of the Week
post yours.

Tom this is kept in the Fridge
I never said it is Frozen.
When was the last time you seen a curry in a fridge at the supermarket?

It also says suitable for freezing which is what I imagine most people do until they use it

Benjamin 26-02-2009 01:01 PM

A box of 6 eggs are value. And under £1. You can make so much from them, and add them to loads of stuff to bump up a meal.

I'm still munching on my eggy bread (it's so good).

pinkmichk 26-02-2009 01:02 PM

i feed me and my daughter the whole week on just £15 the only freezer kind of stuff i buy is fish fingers and pies

It is Not Frozen
that means it is Fresh Meal
for a pound.

You only thought you could get Frozen meals for a pound.

That is why AsdaWalmart are groundbreaking
with these £1 Quality meals.

I alway cook a meal so I make too much, then I feeze what I don't eat, so I have a couple of meals for next time.

I don't personally rave about microwave dinners and such. I much prefer my fresh veg (no tinned or frozen stuff) and fresh foods.

But I do buy some frozen stuff llike fish fingers! MMMMMm!

Chips and wedges I make my own from Potatoes and I leave the skins on. So much nicer.

I'm a BIG food lover. Some of my family are Italian and Scottish so a big appetite is essential, lol as well as appreciation for food. (I cannot stand wasting food!)

pinkmichk 26-02-2009 01:09 PM

yep i am the same when i buy a chicken or mince for example i stretch it over 3 dinners and if chicken a lunch as well
you could easily knock up a curry that would feed a family of 4 for not much more than a £1 values ranges FTW

Potatoes are under a pound. So that makes them value food and you can make a meal out of them.

I'm off there in a bit to see what bargains I can pick up. :hello:

arista 26-02-2009 01:21 PM

That impressive with the prices these days,

we shop at asda and for 4 of us it can be anything from 90 - 140 pound a week.

But then some weeks we spend like 14 pound on slim fast at that and we buy loads of meat..

pinkmichk 26-02-2009 01:25 PM

i dont have a asda close enough so use tesco and lidl but mostly tesco and i aint ashamed of having a basket full of value stuff which like i said you could make a curry for a family for not much more than £1

He made a point about the labour party being one of the reasons for the financial crisis. Apparently he was ON topic then.... now that I ask him to explain his views my question is now OFF topic. Dude this isn't a game... either he knows what he's talking about or he doesn't. He sounds like he doesn't given that the labour party don't control how UK investment banks buy and on-sell debt. Turtle your clearly out of your depth.... next time mate if you have an opinion and you post it on a forum... don't be a pussy and cry "off topic".

arista 26-02-2009 01:28 PM

Depth??

This is the One Pound Bargain Meal thread

i buy larger packs of mince etc so they go for more than one meal so i can freeze portions and so on

NettoSuperstar! 26-02-2009 01:59 PM
