Thank you, I wanted there to be a sharp contrast from the house but then I still need to bring in the paradise idea so that where that came from.

Is that water between the stage and crowd?

Personally if you're introducing a sofa I think you'd be better off pushing the stage back a bit so the crowd aren't all the way around it, but just in front of it and curving round the sides a bit, so that they (and the cameras) can all see Davina and the evictee quite easily.

Yes, to fit in with the paradise theme

I was thinking that but it didn't seem like much of a problem in BB6 and BB9 and personally they are my favorite studios

Brekkie 10-04-2009 08:04 PM

They had simple seats though. With a sofa there would be more of a barrier between the back of the evictee/host than the crowd.

That said though, I don't know if you've seen Transmission but I always thought that could be a good eviction layout - basically an L-shaped sofa on a slightly raised square stage with the audience around it.

I haven't seen transmission but I think the stage is low enough for the audience to see at least Davina or the evicted housemate if not both.

First Look at the new BB entrance, all will be explained in due course.

No hose pipe ban this year then! I'm guessing that's BB Germany inspired!

The only water in that picture is moat around the stage, the water on the wall is actually a big TV screen.

That design is complete, so have you lot not noticed anything else :spin2:

Conor 11-04-2009 05:36 PM

Looking great! :spin: It would be really cool if that screen was a real waterfall.

ILoveTRW 11-04-2009 05:55 PM

The Entrance
Main Notes:
Crowd size will be around the same size as BB5 so that is about 1000 people.
The Big Brother House wall is now curved and a huge television screen has been placed on it.
There will be NO front door this year (hmmm).

Hows the 'No Front Door' gonna work? I'm intrigued

Conor 12-04-2009 01:39 PM

ooooh. An orignal and unique houses! Does the screen lift up??

TomRocksUrSocks 12-04-2009 01:47 PM

Wow, that's really good! I think the screen'll lif up as well. Hate to be the moany one, but I think the walkway could be lengthened.

30stone 12-04-2009 02:02 PM

I was thinking the centre circular thing will drop down like a lift and there will be an underground entrance.

Would be good for when your evicted.

Stand in the middle and you get lifted straight into the centre.

You got me, yes that is exactly right.

when a housemate is evicted they will be shot right up into the middle of the crowd on a moving platform kind of thing, like you see at concerts with trapdoors.

another lift is in the house and there is an underground walkway between the two.

that is very original :)

Conor 12-04-2009 07:16 PM

window > styles > display edges ND RETICK DISPLAY EDGES

It'll look much better. I love this project so far, the entrance is reali good :D

ILoveTRW 12-04-2009 07:26 PM

I get a load of weird lines going across the screen (not at the edges)?

Brekkie 13-04-2009 10:18 AM

Original, but though it would be exciting the first time I'm sure it would get tedious rather quickly.

But its just the same as the door opening?

Brekkie 13-04-2009 12:42 PM

The door opening is simple though - this kind of looks overly complicated!

I do like the idea, but I think simplifying it a bit would make it work better. I'd incorporate it into the house so they go up some stairs onto a balcony (effectively the roof of a one-floor high part of the house at the front), and then have them go down from there - so it's down the lift, turn and down a short corridor straight into the house.
