This should be in the Big Brother 5 section...

Nadia is a woman, respect her. Why disrespect her?

It's quite comical people diss transexuals, even though they will 9/10 times out of ten been through more in their life than you could ever dream of.

Nadia has a vagina. She is a woman.

DanielJordan1991 31-05-2009 11:31 PM

JD is the only person making sense in this thread.

Nadia was born male. Everyone can agree with that.

He decided he didn't feel comfortable or confident in that gender. He used modern science to change his sex with a sex change. He became female. Yes, is you want to get technical, she is still male inside. Her DNA is male and science will never change that (in the near future) but she is now female. She had a sex change - that means she has changed sex. She is a woman.
She has had operations, surgery, drugs etc.. to change her body to that gender the best that science can allow. She is now recognised as female. Why try and deny her that? Are you so against transsexuals and so closed-minded that you can't accept it?
There is a difference between Kemal - who dresses female - yes, he is still male. Nadia has changed her sex. She is female.

SiaSiaSia 31-05-2009 11:39 PM

I'd say she's a male tbh

JOSHUAH! 31-05-2009 11:42 PM

'She' will never be a woman, its not possible - yes she can have the genetics like, false boobs and a piece of loose skin acting like a vagina, but shes not a woman.

Nadia is a man.

DanielJordan1991 31-05-2009 11:43 PM

So why did you just call her 'she'?

It's all about acceptance and whether you are able to accept and respect the fact that she made the decision to change her gender. That's when you decide whether you want to recognise her as male or female or not (not that I think it's really a decision for us to make).

I don't think anyone can deny that technically, within her DNA, she is still the male she was born into - but it's just disrespectful and insensitive to her to just throw that in her face as if she isn't already aware of that fact.

Agree with this 100%

How would you like it if people didnt respect your life choices?

I stand tall accepting Nadia as a women

Marc 31-05-2009 11:57 PM

I think its fair to say that Jorge (original name?) isn't genetically a women but Nadia is known as, the female version of Jorge.

Care to elaborate?

And on the contrary I think I "understand" more than most people who have commented so far in this thread.

Meh.. saying Nadia is "the female version of Jorge" kinda gives the impression that Nadia is like a drag queen - which she is definately not.

She isn't "Jorge dressing up as Nadia", she had a sex change to "become" Nadia.

Ok the words I used to express my opinion weren't very wise I didn't mean it to read that she was in drag. I mean Nadia is like the inner women that Jorge always had in him, but in full form and fully exposed now (post-op) I see Nadia as a women

fruit_cake 19-06-2009 02:02 PM

to those that are against nadia's wish to be accepted as a female, ask yourselves this question

is jamie lee curtis a man too? she was born with xy chromosones and is genetically a man. In fact many women have this syndrome. They never develop male genitalia and are known as xy women.

'man' and 'woman' are social constructions anyway they are just words and don't physically exist

WATERS 19-06-2009 02:08 PM

Ok Josh we all know its a man..
Why are you telling us this

Barbie 19-06-2009 02:10 PM

She wants to be seen as a woman so that is what she will be seen as in my eyes.

30stone 19-06-2009 02:10 PM

Id also like to add to this thread.

WATERS 19-06-2009 02:11 PM

IT knocks me sick

Tom 19-06-2009 02:13 PM

I'll say its a woman but I don't believe you can be born into the wrong body, so before I wouldn't say she was a woman in a mans body
