For a few quid extra you can get a cheap sky package.
When I was young and living on my own with a crappie job and low wages, knowing I had to throw on an extra hundred and something onto my tv was a liberty.
I can live with adverts and if I had the choice I would've have scrapped my BBC channels, all I want is MotD.
Feck Fecking Dr. fecking Who.
And why is it that other free channels have better films on?

Yes the Bloated BBC
do not need Radio 6 or 7.

Fk Sky! I would pay more for my TV Licence, great value for money and the programs we get..

Channels like ITV, ch5 and 4 need ad revenue, without it then they would slowly sing with cheap tv.. If the BBC had to fund itself from ad revenue then the income from these ads would drop.. Sky is far overpriced.

andyman 26-02-2010 07:26 PM

Greedy Sky arista, greedy Sky.

hennessy 26-02-2010 07:34 PM

I don't have to pay for sky but I do for the bbc.
I'd like to see how it'll do with subscription but I'd fear they're too gutless.
Sky have all the best american tv shows, Lost, House, Chuck, Simpsons, etc
All bbc have is costume dramas and eastenders, whoop de fecking doo.

I admit good docu's but very few and vast inbetween.
Why should I have to pay £142 for MotD?
ps I can watch any team live on my laptop for free

This thread is about the Future of The BBC
nothing to do with Sky.

The BBC has to make Big Cut Backs
just like everyone else.

Sky is Not Overpriced

You can have Sky Free of Charge
Sky Freesat
you only pay the once to get it set up.

you Andyman are living in the past
at times.

andyman 26-02-2010 07:43 PM

For all the channels you get, radio, fantastic programs and free bbc iplayer, it is worth the small fee which can be paid over 12 months.. Plus British tv need need the BBC to be funded by the public, ITV would have to cut costs on a very large scale if arista's pro Murdock Sky empire dreams came true..

hennessy 26-02-2010 07:45 PM

I'm just going to leave one remark before I go and do something else..
I download all my films, I watch all my sports live on my laptop for free and I haven't watched BBC in over a year. No BS.
I watch Football First round my friends on a saturday night with a couple of beers.
Why should I have to pay £142 a year for something I don't use?

You want the BBC to be funded by ads.. Freesat would become Paysat.. You really need to look into it more because that thought in your head does not mean fact.

Tom 26-02-2010 07:50 PM

Sky = greedy but its worth it for Sky Sports 1 I guess

I think Sky1 should go free to air, its not as though anyone signs up to Sky just so they can watch Sky1 ...

Jack_ 26-02-2010 07:54 PM

The only good thing about the BBC is Radio 1.

Not everybody is like that, many enjoy the BBC and what it gives.. Unlike the brain dead ITV programs.

You could throw out your tv and any tv connection, don't know if that would work.. Lol but £2.73 per week is worth it..

For you yes, please state that.

Thank you. :p

Tom 26-02-2010 08:00 PM

I don't watch much BBC but paying the license is no skin off my nose anyway, I like BBC3, The Apprentice, Radio 1 and the website, thats pretty much my entire BBC usage. The website is really good

andyman 26-02-2010 08:02 PM

OnDigital was good, same as Freeview.. Freeview would be better with the option to top up channels with Sky1, Sky Movies, Sky Sports, MTV.. Just like the OnDigital days. Sky Tv without a contract and a BT line.

andyman 26-02-2010 08:04 PM

£2.80 per week..

ITV shows loads of Films in HD.

Ch4 , Ch5 also are good.

And Ch4HD is good as they also show many Films in HD.

Oh I see, the BBC hated by yourself because they dont have adverts? Oh except for those stupid adverts with disabled people.

Do you think that may be because they dont need to use advertising to obtain revenue for running costs because of the money allocated out of the TV licence Fee?

What is 2bh, is that like text speak? Thats not funny you know.

Well then thats fine and dandy, pay your TV licence and they throw in the adverts on other sides for free. Dont pay your licence and they will fine your mum and dad.

If I was you I would concentrate on learning when to use their. there and they're when in English lessons instead of playing with yourself while drooling over Miss Rottencrotch's breasts and nylon clad legs at the back of the class.
