Okay, my hair is a scruffy mess, as I dont understand hair or what to do with it (luckily though it fits in nicely with the rest of my scruffy look). As scuh Im confused, what is back combing?
Instead of combing your hair the normal way (downwards/outwards), you comb it the opposite way, so the hair sort up matts up, giving it more volume.

Ahhh, I see.

God its much easier being scruffy. I got my hair cut in March, the previous time was July 2007 (sisters wedding, so its not like I make note of the date), get it shaved off every two years and then let it grow. It grows slowly, so its okay. Well apart from the grey streaks.

Thanks Enid.
I have quite long hair but I never ever brush it other than when I have just washed it. I dye my hair every four or five months and I apply lots of heat protection so it doesn't get damaged in the sun. I like to think I have healthy hair.

My sister's hair (she's five years younger) is nearly as bad as Sophie's. She just recently bleached it three times over the course of two days. :bored:

I dont brush or comb either, it just seems to fall into place (admittedly being scruffy its not hard to fall into place).

What is heat protection? I am hoping its something that helps block out any references or adverts to the magazine

Lol. It's a spray or mousse you apply to your hair just after washing it to protect it from heated styling equipment, such as hair dryers or straighteners and also UV.

No one has wished it on her, she caused it herself 100%

Like Enid said, godknows how long her skin will last looking like that.

We don't HAVE to do it. Generally, I suppose we take more pride in our appearance than guys do. Some of us take too much pride (vanity) and end up looking like Sophie.

Awww dear of her. Must be horrible :/

I bleached my hair for years (since I was 15 ) and you really ruin it, no matter how hard you try looking after it. And it does become really thin and can start falling out as well. Poor Sophie, and her boobs! Seriously, they can not be good for her tiny body:shrug:
