Well people who like putting labels on others would probably say yes
so you are heterophobic?

I don't switch over if I see two heteros or two lesbians kissing. I think this is the point.

I think it's down to how you respond to the situation.
E.g. a straight guy walks down the street sees two men kissing thinks hmmm not my cup of tea continues walking...then no I wouldn't say that was homophobic.

If during the same situation the guy starts shouting out insults at the gay guys for kissing then yes i would say that is homophobic......

I didn't realise that was your question. You said 'so if gays don't like hetero sex, are they heterophobics then?' assuming you meant actually taking part in it.

But seen as you put it that way, the answer would be 'yes'.

But I never find myself having that kind of response to witnessing male/female intimacy. We've grown up with it seeing it in TV and movies. It's the norm.

Shasown 24-07-2009 07:25 PM

Err no, I like the girlfriend kissing me, and her flange is the sweetest I have tasted.

most straight men do not find the thought of gay men getting it on revolting - stop transferring your own neurosis onto the rest of society. the only straight men who dont mind are straight men who are secure in their heterosexuality.

by the way, heterosexual means straight
Bull$hit. I'm comfortable with my sexuality, I'm straight, I don't find 2 gays kissing horrible or disgusting but it's not my thing. Gays are more accepted than ever but society isn't fully tolerant about it yet. You can't make people liking it or anything. It's not my cup of tea, it doesn't disturb me, it doesn't turn me on and it certainly doesn't make me feel comfortable.

there is lotsa hypocracy going on with heteros who don't like gays. as i said, why guy who don't like gay sex is called "homophobic", while gays who don't like hetero sex, are so called "normal" peoples. it's sad that everything normal is sick, and everything else is normal. oh well, i guess im sick then.

BBUK4LYFE 24-07-2009 07:33 PM

You are not. I don't like seeing people kissing either.

Doesn't make you a homophobic.

WAYNEEBRUM 24-07-2009 07:34 PM

If society accepts both heterosexuality and homosexuality, then we may aswell assume they are normal, move on and not get uncomfortable with the idea of them as an aspect of day to day life. Gay people's attitude to straight people isn't really a problem as far as I can see. There are still pockets of homophobia in society... expecially in small towns and religious communities. All of the idiots who write letters of complaints to regulators or TV channels because they showed something like a depiction of a gay couple before the watershed are bigoted straight people.

i never said that. but there are gays who are heterophobics too.

Striptease 24-07-2009 07:58 PM

I think I have problems with gays too lol. I find them disgusting especially when they are kissing and acting weird (like a gay) but I think im used to it now.

Fangz 24-07-2009 08:02 PM

Yep, homomphobic and pathetic.

Saphire1 24-07-2009 08:08 PM

Since Noirine told Charlie that he will be next out it seems he is resorting to desperate measures to get the camera on him - it wont work. I dont have a problem with people being gay but I certainly dont want to watch men kissing. Most people, if they are honest, feel that way - its a step too far.

Luanda 24-07-2009 08:11 PM

Sexuality is about as important as shoe size or hair colour. It is the person who matters.

Why are there so many gay and bi-sexual HMs in the house this year? There is no eye candy for us girls (and please dont say Krss, he was very dull and looked like goat). Things began to look hopeful when Tom came in but now I read on another thread that he is bi too. Please, BB, no more mincing, steriotypical queens - put in some HOT HUNKS!!!!!!!!!!!

I took your comments to be sarcastic, it was the person who replied where i wasn't sure if they were being serious or not....

there is nothing wrong with disliking gays, no matter what people say. It is your right to like or dislike in this world.

Well it's not going to land you with a jail sentence, but it's still bloody stupid and ignorant to hate millions of people who have done nothing to you.

Just saying

I hit a nerve did I? :dance::dance::dance:

Spike 24-07-2009 08:50 PM

I think if you have a problem watching that then you are slightly homophobic at least
If you were not homophobic and you still had these feelings then what does that mean for those who don't have a problem watching a gay romance or gays who don't have a problem watching a straight romance.
If you were truely not homophobic then it wouldn't bother you in the slightest I guess.
I am shocked that the majority of straight people seemingly still think like this

niko 24-07-2009 08:51 PM

boo to this thread, gays are gay, straights are straight

a_2009 24-07-2009 08:52 PM

So working on that theory there's nothing wrong with disliking black people, or christians, or men, or women....

sod the individual...the complex intricacies that make up a person. Lets put a label on someone which completely defines everything they are and dislike them.....

Not a perspective i will ever have any time for!!

Saphire1 24-07-2009 08:55 PM

You have to be wierd to want to watch any of them slurping each others faces off - its an insult to our intelligence as we know full well its fake 'showmance' carp. It turned my stomach when Siavash kissed Noirine after he had just eaten smoky bacon crisps - eeewwgghhh

niko 24-07-2009 08:56 PM

the point is that people are who they are, unless it harms others then whats the problem with it
