I never read a book twice. I guess I'm a bit strange, judging by everyone else who has posted. :puzzled:

That book is so funny. The Yes Man is great as well. And if you like Danny Wallace, I'd also recommend any of Tony Hawks' books (the comedian, not the skateboarder)!

bonnie43uk 10-02-2006 11:34 AM

did'nt Tony Hawks carry a fridge all the way around Ireland??
I'd love to try that sometime.

Ruth 10-02-2006 01:05 PM

Yeah he did. The book is Round Ireland With A Fridge, and it's my favourite of his books. One Hit Wonderland is excellent too...in fact any of his books will be guaranteed to make you laugh. I had to stop reading the first one in public because I kept bursting into laughter at inopportune moments!

Siouxsie 10-02-2006 04:45 PM

I love reading!

My favourites are the entire Harry Potter series and I also love Chantelles book.

I have all of Jordans books and they're actually all quite good!

Last full book I read was 'Hopeless Romantic' by Harriet Evans which was amazing if not massive!

Ella 03-03-2007 04:44 PM

Lmao I read those a few years ago as well. A friend of mine recommended them to me and I was like, 'As if I'll like them!' but then just out of interest I started reading them... and found them surprisingly addictive!

I only read up to book 6 or 7! My problem was with the first Cirque du Freak one, because of the big spider and the whole spider thing (cos I hate them), but after that it was continuous!

You've got me wanting to continue reading now...

Oh yeah, was that when Darren's best friend was killed and he had to drink his blood and after that he liked pickled onions lol?

Bells 03-03-2007 09:28 PM

OMG I can't even remember! (People will think we're right weirdos reading books like that....) But seriously, HOW addictive! I got to the Vampire Prince bit, him figuring out he was... and then in Book 7 I vaguely remember summat about the vampire-ness continuing and then him drinking blood. The pickled onion thing sounds so random, you're probably right!

You've started me off on an old craze again Sol.

Sunny_01 03-03-2007 09:56 PM

I love to read and I read ANYTHING!

One of my faves is Good Omens by Terry Pratchet - it makes me laugh out loud and I have read it a few times.

Just finished a lovely book by Jody Picoult - Keeping faith

I also like Terry Brooks as a fantasy author - not everyones cup of tea but lovely books to read :cheer:
