In this case I have to argue, sorry. Someone is trying to insinuate I am a bully because I think a certain member might be another person. I cant even believe I just said that. It even sounds fucking ridiculous.

I wonder if said member thinks he is being bullied. I doubt it, somehow.

After reading through this thread I fail to see how anyone is being 'bullied' or anyone is being a 'bully'.

If I remember rightly - you were one of those who accused me of being Dennis. So you would say that - wouldn't you. Anyway - just be aware that it is not nice to be accused like that - if someone does it to you - you might understand how it feels.

Making people feel uncomfortable like that is bullying - dress it up how you like!

If being accused of being a different member by a group of strangers makes you emotionally distressed to the point where you believe you are being bullied, perhaps the internet is not the place for you.

Who cares if people were accusing Matt. There was good evidence and he defended himself well. By the same token are you a bully because you are accusing us of things? Can anybody be accused here anymore of anything? Should we stop all debates? Should we close the Serious Debates section?

I love proper debate - but I don't like people ganging up on others. I am not the only one by far that has passed comment on it on this site. It does go on - and I am one of those that has experienced it. It hasn't devasted me or anything - but that is not the point. It makes people feel uncomfortable - and that in itself it bullying. You don't know as much as you think you do.

It is not about Matt - it is about it happening to others as well - and for the record I was never talking about you - but you seem to have assumed I was for some reason.

And I never denied bullying takes place here. I still don't like to call it bullying, it's certainly a different form of it, and I don't think it makes people feel uncomfortable.

Maybe it made you feel uncomfortable, but again, if several people thinking you are someone else on an internet forum makes you uncomfortable, then perhaps the internet is not the place for you.

My argument was that this thread contained no bullying. Which is a fact, plain and simple. A fact the thread creator verified for us. If you consider several people having the same opinion and voicing it, and accusing someone with good reason, to be bullying then maybe you don't know much about it. Or at the least have some very warped views on it.

'Ganging up' in this case meant a few of us questioned the thread nature. Big deal. It was your choice of language which made it appear far more sinister. Do I think instances of blatant ganging up occur in other threads? Absolutely. Do I think these people get uncomfortable or distressed? Hell no. Because they realize it is just a forum. And they always fight back tooth and nail and flame wars ensue. This is a forum. It is not real life.

The evidence is there for all to see! I'm sure people will come to their own conclusions. You accuse me of making a big deal of things - but you are pretty good at that yourself. You can't force people to see things your way - however hard you try.
