I dont mind whos no.1 this year, I really rather not have RATM have it, but at the same time, I like the people power over it, if people are fed up with xmas no.1s from XF, maybe they should consider moving XF back?

I hope you're joking? This is about the X Factor and it's dominance of the charts for the last few years, spewing out plastic forgettable pop that I'm very sick of. Actually makes Xmas more depressing knowing that Simon Cowell has the monopoly over it.

I'd love to see George Michael go number 1 but RATM will do for now.

Oh I get it, girls that go for looks rather than the music?

Jack_ 15-12-2009 07:18 PM

If people don't like XF dominating the charts, then they simply need to come up with a solution or alternative to it! Simple as that really. No use moaning unless you're actually going to attempt to stop it, like the RATM Campaign.

Considering I'm going through the phase of discovering my true sexuality at the moment, I think that paragraph is laughable!

Human rights, freedom of speech - another thing to hide behind!

Your own situation has got nothing to do with you publicly attempting to 'expose' someone else - especially when there is absolutely no evidence to back that up - just peoples' opinion that he is 'camp'. His sexuality is nothing to do with you, me or anyone else. Your posts are laughable!

Oh, you don't get it do you? Simon has you right where he wants and you wont know it until in about 10 years and you'll laugh about how gullible you were while Simon is sipping Martini's on his own island with his own harem, laughing at how stupid and easily controlled the British population are.

InOne 15-12-2009 07:22 PM

Simon is laughing at the UK really. Killing music and cashing in.

Exactly my friend.

MissKittyFantastico 15-12-2009 07:24 PM

I don't actually want either of them to be #1 for Christmas.

Would much rather it be a Christmas song personally! George Michael's December Song is gorgeous. <3

Posting on a forum which has what, 10,000 members? Is publicly exposing him?

You seem to be acting as if I've killed someone. When you take into account that there are far more homophobes who simply hate him for his 'assumed sexuality', I think you'll find that I've done no wrong by expressing my opinion on his sexuality in a fair, but not insulting way. I'd imagine Joe is more concerned about the people who hate him because of all of this, not the people who are just merely wondering what his sexuality is!

Twilight 15-12-2009 07:24 PM

"Real music" Lol that's stupid everyone has a different opinion of what Real music is.

Jords 15-12-2009 07:25 PM

That's how thick he knows the public are - he doesn't even get a writer to produce a new song. lol. It's staggering really when you think about it.

Thanks for pretty much insulting me.

Of course I get it. The control Simon has over the UK charts is unbelievable, and bad - there's no denying that. I never once said that I liked his control over the charts, just that you don't really have any right to moan unless you're going to come up with an alternative. It's as simple as that.

Yes it's an appauling site when all you see is XF acts and guests everywhere in the Top 40, but what do you or other people intend to do about it?

It is not a matter of opinion. It is what it is, a poppy cover of another pop song which is pretty much, shite. It all sounds the same and you idiots lap it up.

I didn't really insult you so don't try to be a victim here. Just stating that you're playing right into his hands, which is obviously the case and you're just emphasizing that point.

There's always other options in life if you look hard enough for them..... George Michael has released a wonderful Xmas record but X Factor is going to win with a charmless cover version.

Fair enough.

That's also a fair point, but as I said, what do you intend to do to get this George Michael track to Christmas #1?

It's no use complaining about it unless you're willing to offer some constructive and large scale input.

It's really not. He does not write his own songs or music. He is the product of a squeaky clean 'singing' competition, he sings what he is told to sing, says what he is told to say. He is a puppet, that is not an artist, and that is not music.

Patrick 15-12-2009 07:34 PM

I don't have to do anything- all of you have to just snap out of this zombie-like state that Simon has placed you under.

But questioning his sexuality is what has created those homophobes in the first place! You may not have meant it to be insulting - but to suggest that someone is gay/bisexual when they have never stated that they are - is insulting! If he isn't - then it is untrue. If he is - then he clearly doesn't want to divulge that to the rest of the world. And it is no one else's place to do so.

Personally - I don't believe for one minute that he is - and it has bugger all to do with his singing. Why do people have to get so personal?

Stephanie 15-12-2009 07:42 PM

pmsl are you trying to say that jack is homophobic?

To be fair - he has to be those things at the moment - to win the competition and to fulfill his contract. He is only 18 - in time, if he becomes an established singer - he will be in more of a position to dictate his own terms and produce his own style of music.

Of course it's not. Homophobes are scared of homosexual people because it's not seen as the 'normal' thing to do, and if they are seen to be supporting them - they think they'll be looked down upon. They're narrow minded and ignorant people. It's got nothing to do with questioning peoples sexuality, that's just showing interest (whether good or bad). All part of human nature.

I'll accept your opinion that it is insulting then. I admit, I was quick to judge, but as I have said it's part of human nature, and that's also why people get so personal.

Of course I am not trying to say you are homophobic! I am saying that just because it is not an issue for you - it may be for him - particularly if he is not! People should not make assumptions about people's sexuality - without very good reason!

Well as I've said, I was quick to judge and yes it's wrong. But it's human nature and something that will come naturally to the majority of people - whether you'll admit it or not.

Give him chance! Many people have come from singing competitions and now release their own material. This is him making his entrance into the business, don't try and assume what he is going to make in the future.
