Earthquakes will certainly happen. But the damage they do depends a lot on how poorly constructed the buildings are. California is also prone to earthquakes but the damage has been relatively limited mostly because they have very high standards for large building constructions.

Poor countries like Haiti have low standards because thats all they can afford. So not only does haiti need billions to help heal the sick and feed the huge amount who are destitute. But they also need to rebuild to a much higher standard to prevent this scale of deaths from happening again.

So don't tell me that money doesn't help. Just ignorant beyond belief.

Madonna helps alot for charity. She has adoped two Malawi children (From a poor country) and donated alot to Haiti. Plus she has been at various charity events and concerts and has her own charity Raising Malawi.

Let's face the facts, nobody can defend them because nobody has the right answer.
