Interesting that this took up half of OK!TV's programme tonight. Sinitta - the so-called right hand woman of Simon Cowell knew zero and I don't know why she was even there. And Danyl from 2009?? Why??

No she is Former Girl of his.

Someone should have Shouted at her TMZ,
they had the info first.

She has had No Recent Contact With Simon
as he is Working Hard - Unlike her.

Honestly, they've apparently done a third of auditions. What would they do? Edit every frame that has Cheryl in it with a fake bit of whatever the background is?

BBfanUSA 26-05-2011 06:59 PM

they can just say she was a guest judge

i dunno if any1 had said this but does this mean Steve Jones is winging it by himself or is she doing both roles?

Yeah like Nicole would be able to be both a judge and a host. Such a good theory about saying Cheryl was a guest judge, then such a dumb one that Nicole can be both.

The BBC should take advantage of this madness and just announce Cheryl and Dannii as the new judges of The Voice UK.

I hear that there should be an official announcement any time now.

Sinitta always likes to propagate the idea she is Simon's eyes and ears. She is nothing of the sort.

GypsyGoth 26-05-2011 10:34 PM

She didn't get much of a chance, that's a shame.

ElProximo 26-05-2011 11:12 PM

Brits have to keep in mind that nearly nobody in the USA has so much as the slightest clue who either of them are.
Basically zero name recognition. Unknowns. Almost nobody would recognize their names or faces or even any of their songs or movies or anything.

No its not
she has so many other deals
its mean't to be.

This is not even in the News in America
as this show does not go on TV until Sept. (reported on Daybreak).

Blaming it on her accent is pure BS, she isn't THAT hard to understand.

Steve Jones is harder to understand and hes presenting the show! expect him gone next, its all about big names not accents.

cub 27-05-2011 09:04 AM

I've noticed that a lot of American programmes don't even have American regional accents - they all seem to be 'mainstream standard American'.

I think the accent was the thing - and the 'chemistry' (in other words they didn't really like her)

Yes King Simon
Paula has been on your team for years.

That other girl 'Why -I Pet' is not a Yank Team Player.
The Fox Top boss is above King Simon.

"CHERYL WHO?
Her lack of public profile in America was always going to be a challenge.

In trailers for the show, approved by Simon, Cheryl is billed simply as a ‘platinum-selling artist’, and her role is glossed over.

By contrast, Simon is gushing in his praise for Paula Abdul.

Simon apparently told Cheryl she should attend parties, awards ceremonies and be seen looking fabulous and flirting with young stars to build up her profile. However, she has stayed in her hotel room.

Cheryl seems to have thought just being herself would be enough. ‘America’s gonna love this,’ she said when she was confirmed as a judge. It seems it didn’t."

Oh well suits you right you arrogant misfit. How is she going to face the people she stomped on along the way because she really thought she was what the UK press hyped her up to be? Haha. This brings her back down to earth nicely....well at least a little bit. She has too much pride to go back to X factor.

But she still has william and derek hough. maybe they'll help her out in exchange for a threesome. You'll have to beg for success there now hahaha

joeysteele 27-05-2011 11:53 AM

She won't have liked herself one bit 'not' being thought of as a glamour girl and nice person, (2 things she sure is not), in the States.

She is massively overrated and when she cannot control it has a very nasty streak and attitude too.

I don't get why the press are drumming her up as being arrogant and thinking she abandoned the UK for the USA because she thought she was too good for here.

She did what any person in her situation would do. Why remain doing something comfortable when you're offered something bigger and better? Obviously it didn't work out for her this time and I don't see why its a problem for to come back to the UK and return to what she was doing.

Everyone seems to jumped on the hate cheryl bandwagon recently but she has always been the same and never changed who she is.

Vicky. 27-05-2011 12:10 PM

Meh. I'd like to say I feel sorry for her, but that would be a lie.

Just hope she doesnt turn up back on ours now, she was terrible last year :/

She was indeed, she was totally unbearable last year, acted like it was her show. I don't feel sorry for her one tiny bit.

She might not be too bad actually...if simons not there to lick her ass.

I think that annoyed me more than she did...the fact that simon didnt dare say anything against her opinion

Zippy 27-05-2011 01:47 PM

I think there's something a bit fishy about this. After all, Cheryl has done XF for a few years so the producers have surely watched how she is and how she speaks. I just don't believe theyve suddenly watched a couple of US auditions and suddenly decided she's not right....and then had the nerve to go against Simon who practically owns the show and is its main star. Especially so soon after announcing her inclusion on the show. As for Paula, she really doesnt carry that much weight right now; her last show flopped so this is a lifeline for her. She's gonna demand Cheryl goes after such a short period together? makes no sense to me. She didnt like Kara on AI but didnt get her fired at a time she had great influence.

I smell a publicity stunt.

happybbfan 27-05-2011 03:22 PM

C5 are still intersted in her fronting BB,please i beg of you Desmond NO dont do it,we want the show to do well not fail.Dont think its her bag tho,but atm she might take anything.

This is also what I am worried about but I was bulldozed at for even suggesting this.

Ok.. I suppose Cheryl Cole could pull in the viewers if she takes over Davina's role but she will be crap!

Please Emma Willis or someone decent!

I think it is a bit cruel for them just to sack Cheryl off like that but meh these things happen.

Paula is not special either. I much preferred Kara! I also like the American Idol judges now. I am not bothered about Simon Cowell anymore. It's time for a change. And I hope it's a full fresh panel of new judges on the UK X Factor.

Mmm I would rather see Chezza come back to the UK X Factor. Just not on my precious baby that is Big Brother!

Tom4784 27-05-2011 04:22 PM

Cheryl Cole would never host BB, no big star will.

What? Go from Fox TV to Channel 5?? She may have fallen from grace, but she will never fall that low.

Big Brother died in 2010. Richard Desmond is just picking at the carcas and hoping to breath new life into a corpse.

Cheryl wouldnt touch BB in a million years

Take anything? If she was sacked she'll probably get millions. Then there's her very lucrative job as the face of L'oreal. Then there's XF UK if she wants it. Then there's a Girls aloud reunion if she wants it..

but yeah, apart from all that she's really desperate

Jords 27-05-2011 08:41 PM

Feel quite sorry for Chezza, apparently its because of her accent? :conf: Daft.

Although I think Nicole will do a better job! Im sure Simon will get Cole to do the UK show again..

Omah 27-05-2011 11:15 PM

What’s wrong with Cheryl Cole?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/c...enetrable.html

Quote:

Los Angeles has always been a tough town for those who get above themselves, as its favourite cop-philosopher once observed. “A man’s just gotta know his limitations,” growled “Dirty” Harry Callahan, wittily echoing the Delphic Oracle’s “Know thyself” before unleashing the contents of his Magnum .44 into the head of a chap who apparently did not.

The same, as seems only fair in a post-feminist age, goes for a woman. The Girls Aloud singer has tended to eschew engagements in Iraq and Afghanistan in favour of the safety of The X Factor studio. But there are other ways to serve the community. Cheryl put in 120 hours of community service, in 2003, for instigating unarmed combat above and beyond the call of duty – “actual bodily harm” as the killjoy court documents had it – with the toilet attendant of a Guildford nightclub.

The songstress has endeared herself to us, with her gift for synthesising sincere big-sisterly pride in her young X Factor charges.

In Hollywood, alas, four days into auditions for American X Factor, she was fired. The dust has yet to settle on this sensational development, but already leading historians are riven by such questions as who sacked her, and why.

The first step is to ask the obvious question. What was she thinking in trying to crack America? Of course, one understands the ambition. Any self-respecting British actor would rather be mentioned in passing as a suspected child molester by the host of the Oscars than win three dozen Baftas. No performer feels fulfilled without being recognised in the US.

Even talented British chart acts routinely fail to make it there – Oasis and Robbie Williams, who still lives in LA (bless him for holding on to the dream), barely sold a CD despite ferocious attempts – but the most useful precedent is one of Cheryl’s Saturday night telly rivals. After decades of trying to break the States, Bruce Forsyth could not sell out a telephone box. Being the self-styled “British Sammy Davis Jnr” was one thing. Being unable to sing, dance or time a joke proved another.

Finally, Brucie took the hint, settling stoically for life as a beloved institution in li’l ol’ here. Cheryl has no choice but to do the same. Having survived the conviction, malaria, and Ashley texting snaps of himself in his knickers to a lady friend while Cheryl was halfway up Kilimanjaro, an embarrassing return to our own X Factor will not break her.

For all that, the indignity will be hideous for one more accustomed to “nation’s sweetheart” than being nicknamed Chewbacca for her flirtation with big hair. Whether Magnum .44 bullets would have penetrated that much lacquer is one for a ballistics expert, but she must now suspect that there are more even painful routes to learning one’s limitations than being gunned down by a renegade LA cop.

It can work putting a total unknown on the panel in the USA if they are a kind of 'character' like Piers. Americans love that Piers is like a 'stereotype' they can love to hate.

But if you put a totally unknown person in the USA version and mainly her appeal is her fame and notoriety (in the UK and not USA) then you just have what amounts to some plain lady.
And that is not necessarily bad but then they could hire anyone or even hire a UK female presenter/celebrity actually known to US audiences. Posh Spice for example.

cub 28-05-2011 12:01 PM

She just needs a year off. She can afford it.

Concentrate on getting back with Girls Aloud for their 10th Anniversary next year is my advice.

Ammi 28-05-2011 01:54 PM

I agree with Zippy, this all smells like a publicity stunt. Big bad bitch Paula deprives poor Cheryl of her American Sweetheart dream, she is driven back to UK XF, sympathies all round from the British public and Nations sweetheart again. Tbh I was ok as Cheryl as a judge on XF in the beginning, it was only last year her and Simon annoyed me with their stupid decisions and their constant sticking together on these stupid decisions. But with Simon gone this year she might be ok again and it will be the first time she's had the chance to prove herself as an XF judge without him around, so I'll wait and see - thats assuming she does come back to the UK XF

Mystic Mock 28-05-2011 01:58 PM

I dont know if I should be happy or sad because she will be returning to X Factor UK and alot of the British simpletons will feel sorry for her.

But on the other hand she got humiliated at last.

All this Cheryl hate is baffeling to me, she hasn't done ANYTHING wrong or ANYTHING offensive for people to hate her so much, it is jealousy, it has to be. And people saying she was awful on X Factor last year? how was she? she was the same as she was on previous years, I read that she 'thought it was her own show' - in what way exactly?

This anti-cheryl rubbish is just the typical british thing of building someone up and then knocking them down, quite a sad thing really.

Oh and Cheryl hasn't been confirmed as fired yet, its all still rumours.
