I've always thought the layout of it is terrible and it makes my ocd go weird so I woudnt ever join in the first place. But after all the amazing things people have been saying about it on here I might give it a try.

I have had a few bans from there over the years :joker: some for the most stupid reasons, and only one I deemed I deserved. I closed my account there last year after being a member there since 2002, can't say I miss the place though. I can stilll read there, and don't get drawn into the debates as I can't obviously, but because of that my perspective on a lot of the threads and posts there has changed some because of not getting drawn into sometimers rather silly debates, and I often read and laugh at a lot of the posts now and can't believe I let myself get so caught up in it all. For all it's faults this site might have it is more free and easy for the members :)

Have been a member for many years but somehow i've never been banned. The mods may be harsh on there now but it's much better than it was, say, five years ago when a lot of bullying went on and alerts were ignored if your face didn't fit (which mine definitely didn't).

Said I had to pay to join it so never bothered. Probably would've been banned though

It's ridiculous as to why you have to pay - you could easily register with AOL or Hushmail, though. They are horribly strict, but the site has certainly improved since, say, four or five years ago. :)

If you've previously registered then they will ban you - they don't tolerate multiple accounts there. If this is genuinely your first account there then you have nothing to worry about. :)

What happened? You're in quite a lucky position because, in my experience, it's always much easier to register at night, due to the lower number of registrations needing to be attended to and put in the moderation queue. Are you now able to post? :)

Seeing as you have received a permanent ban, they may track down your IP address, although there are plenty of banned members back on there. But it's quite a long time since you got banned, I presume. If this is the case, they may not check your IP address. :)

It's quite weird the way they encourage you to come on, yet they seem harsh when you're a registered user...Anyway, how long is it since you received your registered ban?

It's not so easy. They can check your IP address and will only keep banning you and yawing.

The good thing about DS is the range of members and the diversity of them all - some hilariously funny threads that have me gripping my side with laughter.

You were the one who was happy to admit that you've got history of beingh permabanned on DS but that you keep re-registering - and took the time to explain to Michael 21 that they check IP addresses (meaning you'd change yours to ensure you weren't caught out). Accusing you of nothing: you have ADMITTED right here that you are happy to be known as a PBU.....you told everyone right here on this thread!! So no accusations: merely underlining your own comments.

How is it? That's why I said that I haven't re-registered since: because I cannot be bothered changing IP address! Do you really think that, if I'd changed my IP address, they'd have banned me? No! They told me, after I got banned, that they will always check IP addresses, and, do you know what? I haven't re-registered since!
