I approve of Mr Stardust. May you enjoy many pleasant hours together.

lily. 08-01-2012 04:19 PM

This place is turning into the Stoners Lounge today lol

Black Dagger 08-01-2012 04:19 PM

Smoking is bad, unless it's a certain type of smoking, I'm all for that type.

Ramsay 08-01-2012 04:23 PM

I remember there was a stoner lounge for a while..think it was called the chillout lounge or something haha

It's true. Some people are just token stoners but it's a chemical thing too. Being stoned instantly makes you want to relay to others that you are in fact stoned. It's more of an advanced forewarning type thing I think.

Bollo 08-01-2012 04:35 PM

This is the set they played:

Swastika Eyes, Shoot Speed/Kill Light, Pills, Burning Wheel, If They Move Kill Em, Insect Royalty, Long Life, Kill All Hippies, Blood Money, Exterminator, Rocks, Kowalski, Sick City, Accelerator, Higher Than The Sun-In A Lonely Place, Medication, Loaded, Moving On Up.

Ian Brown also played and Liam Howlett was Djing, I think The Chemical Brothers did a set too but I missed them, It was an brilliant gig...what's the best gig you've been to?

It's probably in much the same way as insanely drunk people feel the need to tell you how insanely drunk they are lol

Bollo.. that sounds decent.. :)

Amazing. Primal Scream are a quality Scottish band. They'll never be the same without Mani though :(

Absolutely love him, with Stone Roses and as a solo artist.

Oh thats right Mani is back in The Stone Roses now they reformed, isn't he?

I never saw Stone Roses live but they were one of my favourite bands of the '90's. I've seen Ian Brown live quite a few times and he can be very unpredictable performance wise, sometimes amazing, sometimes really ropey, but the good thing was he always performed Stone Roses tracks

Yeah, he played his last gig with them and bidded farewell to them at the Edinburgh Hogmanay Concert. Mani is a legend.

Ian Brown admittedly doesn't have the best voice and never has done, but neither has Tim Burgess, or Shaun Ryder. They don't need pitch-perfect voices to be geniuses and good to see live. Love Ian Brown just sort of marches on the spot with his tambourine when he plays live

Seems we have a few more non-teenagers than the last time I frequented TiBB.. Good to know.

I guess I don't really have a lot else to talk about on here. Not many of you share my interests in the music I most like, poetry or travelling.

fruit_cake 08-01-2012 08:43 PM

is there a sauna somewhere in the lounge?

Ramsay 08-01-2012 08:44 PM

woahahah

fruit_cake 08-01-2012 08:45 PM

sooooo who dares join me in the sauna :amazed:

Doogle 08-01-2012 08:50 PM

I've been scared of saunas since that episode of Friends where Chandler goes into one and can't see a thing and accidentally sits on his father-in-law.

EDIT: since I saw the episode anyway, I was about 5 when it first aired :joker:

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 08-01-2012 08:53 PM

ive never been in a sauna ive been in this steam room once when i was at this hotel and some fat man shouted at me coz i was talking to my nephew who was in the pool while i was in the steam room so all the steam was escaping and he went berserk and i was just like urm its only steam chillax

fruit_cake 08-01-2012 08:56 PM

steam rooms > saunas

King Gizzard 08-01-2012 09:14 PM

Why would getting hot and sweaty be any kind of fun at all?

lily. 08-01-2012 09:22 PM

I've been in a steam room and a sauna. Steam room is great, especially when you go into the cold pool afterwards..

Doogle 08-01-2012 09:23 PM

Ahh that sounds amazing

It's too hard to breath for me in a sauna

MTVN 08-01-2012 09:28 PM

Never found steam rooms or saunas that enjoyable, you just sit there sweating away

lily. 08-01-2012 09:30 PM

I only went once, but I also found it hard to breathe in the Sauna. The good thing about the steam room is that it's really good for your facial pores.. :)

I think its meant to be relaxing

GypsyGoth 08-01-2012 09:39 PM

I'd rather do other things to relax.

I love saunas. They make me feel so good.

Benjamin 08-01-2012 09:43 PM

And not in the typical gay way before any of you pipe up. :nono:
