It's absolutely gorgeous here again!!

Niamh. 19-07-2013 03:15 PM

Here too, we have a paddling pool shortage at the moment, my sister in law only just managed to get her hands on one today for my nephews

Jack_ 19-07-2013 03:15 PM

This weather is amazing, I came back off holiday expecting rain and mild weather and was greeted by near enough the same heat I've come back from

Long may it last. I really, really want the maximum UK temperature record to be beaten too but I'm not sure if it's gonna get hot enough :(

Mine are too old for paddling pools now anyway plus we live right by the beach so it's not been a problem  Can't wait to get out of my hot office though and actually enjoy a bit of it!

I can't put into words how much I hate this weather. On the way home from work a few hours ago it was 32 degrees. Been like it for weeks now. Some saying it will even last through August. :bawling:

I know :bawling: I am counting the day until Autumn.

Lee. 19-07-2013 03:44 PM

I can't believe the amount of people complaining about the heat! This is the best summer we've had in years.. Surely it's better than pissing rain and grey skies??

I'm loving every minute of it!

Orlando in Florida :) it's usually about 33c ish there so not far off although the difference is the humidity, you really feel the heat over there and walking around theme parks for 12 hours is treacherous :joker:

I actually haven't seen any rain since I've come back though yet it rained every day there (they have intermittent storms every day for an hour or so, torrential rain and loud thunder and lightening, all the rides close and everyone finds shelter and then it clears and the sun comes back out, it's really strange)

I would pay good money for the temperature to drop about 15 degrees right now

Nope, I like pissing rain and grey skies :) The heat makes me feel so lethargic and am getting hardly any sleep because of the heat :bawling: also being out in the sun tends to make me feel a bit ill :(

I would pay good money for the temperature to rise and beat the UK record of 38.5C

I wish I could remember the heatwave of 2003 but I was too young :( anyone else remember?

It's good for your soul! I feel happier, less stressed and more energetic when the suns out!

Yeah, I was pregnant and in London.. All the shops had sold out of fans and I was exhausted permanently

MTVN 19-07-2013 03:51 PM

You Scots and Irish probably have quite a nice temperature mind, not this bloody level 3 heatwave we are having atm

I was around due to the fact that I am now in my thirties, but can't say I remember that in anyway. I've probably blocked it out :joker:

Starting to think I may be too old to be on here :conf2:

Novo 19-07-2013 03:52 PM

very true, it was 29 here before

That can't have been good :p

It's crazy to think the UK was ever that hot, though spells like this are rare, we seem to usually get four days like this in May and then it pisses it down all summer :joker:

It's about that here, maybe a bit higher, but at least today there is a bit of a breeze.

Novo 19-07-2013 03:55 PM

the perfect weather is a light refreshing breeze and no more then 20 and then a nice heavy shower at night whilst your relaxing inside

Lee. 19-07-2013 03:57 PM

I think it's a degree or two cooler here today.. I think yesterday was the hottest day so far.. No breeze , no clouds and over 30 degrees. Lovely!

King Gizzard 19-07-2013 03:58 PM

It doesn't get over 22 here, it's 19 at the moment

Yeah that's why I don't understand people complaining. Last summer was absolutely ****ing dreadful. I think it rained every day of the summer holidays.. How anybody can prefer that is beyond me!

Where are you Nathan,

Have you seen Biffy's beautiful new video??

MTVN 19-07-2013 04:06 PM

Perfect weather would be for it not to rain but stay around 23/4 degrees, hot enough to relax in the sun but not so much to make doing anything such a chore and be able to get a comfortable nights sleep

Lee. 19-07-2013 04:13 PM

Yeah.. I agree about the sleeping thing. I'm one of those cold blooded people who need a lot of heat to feel warm and comfortable.. And I sleep like I'm in a coma usually. But I have to say the past couple of weeks have been very uncomfortable in bed. I've got a bloody memory foam mattress too, which is cosy in winter but roasting in summer :bored:

Braden 19-07-2013 04:14 PM

It's hotter than pigs in blankets.

I don't know if I like it or not, because I always seem to want winter when it's summer and summer when it's winter. I'm never happy when it comes to weather.
